Space Thinger

Actually a decent game with a steep learning curve which can be frustrating. Good graphics and smooth gameplay but a decent 3d space shooter overall.

Space thinger. A spaceship flying around and shooting enemies and asteroids to fix your damaged ship. In October, the games developer made some changes to the control scheme to work with keyboard and mouse. Well i'll explain that in the scores. Visuals: The game has some good depth to it and has some overall good visual appeal to it. I give it a fair 7 out of 10. The controls: Yeah, they still need work. I had trouble navigating the ship in such a way to where i could attack even one enemy. and mind you i tried both the wasd set up with the mouse, and the arrow key set up with the mouse as well. It's kinda hard to do this when you have to keep the space bar held down and use the wasd or arrow keys to move your ship plus using the mouse to fire. maybe try incorporating something like perhaps the right mouse button for thrust instead of the space bar. This way i can work with both hands easier. 6 out of 10 Voices: There is a variety of things you hear from what i can only surmise is the onboard computer. It's pleasant and good to listen to. 8 out of 10. Sound effects: Good spacey sounds that i would expect to hear in a space-flying game. 9 out of 10. Overall fun factor: Despite the control difficulties, I still managed to emerse myself in the creation and to take pleasure from it. The thing is the control set up really does take a hit for those of us with keyboards. This game also comes with a controller option so for those of you with a controller, try it out and see if you have a better navigational time than i did. I give it a fair overall effort of 7.5 out of 10. And yes I would recommend this game more towards those of you with a controller because that might be a bit easier than those of us with keyboard functions.. Here are some problems within the first 30 seconds of playing the game 1. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics looks like it was made in the early 2000s 2. the "story" is all explained within two paragraphs that dissapear in two seconds making it impossible to read well at least I think I don't care enough about this game to see if there's any more story 3. the game doesn't tell you the controls in game I guess they expect you to figure it out yourself since they don't even tell you how to move the only way to see the controls is by backing out of the game and restarting it which is pathetic but still even by trying to press every button I couldn't move. Not being able to move gets you killed so you only have to play this game in 30 second sessions which I guess is an upside to this game Again these are all problems within the first 30 seconds so I don't wanna know what's to come maybe I'm wrong and it gets better but honestly I don't care. You would have to pay me to play this again ♥♥♥♥ this game. I struggled to play this for 5 minutes so I could write a review it's that bad. BTW this was made on September 25 2015 so clearly the dev is too lazy and doesn't give enough ♥♥♥♥♥ to fix this pile of crap he made. Don't give this guy money he doesn't deserve it

Tags: 6DOF - Flight & Space Pilot Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Unity engine. Small instance with half a dozen foes and asteroids. Nearly impossible to control aim or stabilize ship. Feels clunky. Shallow showcase proof of concept. While the audiovisuals are half decent, you would be better off playing something with working controls and some actual mechanics. Even Early Access titles nowadays do miles better than this. I probably got Space Thinger off a bundle, and it was probably put on Steam as an afterthought by a Dev that did not even intend to make a full game but figured why leave money on the table. Bugado, feio e ruim de jogar. Não sei se é um projeto de faculdade ou um shovelware. Não da pra recomendar de forma alguma :(
