Space Pirates for Life

Good tight controls, classic Metroidvania style gameplay, incredibly catchy music and demands skill from the player. Not normally the sort of game I play but I had to try it out since one of my best friends made it all by himself. The platforming does get quite challenging in further levels, but the controls are good enough that when you mess up, you can blame the level design and not the controls. Thanks Nathan. The game encourages speedrunning, but I'm defintely not going to get the world record any time soon. Worth checking out if these things appeal to you. W game

As a fan of old skool games and Tidal Rave I picked this up. The visuals are totally in keeping and jiggle around nicely. The sound is perfect for any fan of the music and the controls of the character are fast and intuitive. Some of the notes are hard to reach but that just takes practice. I would like to be able to map the keys to my own variant but that aside this is a game that I mistakenly picked up to play at lunch and found addictive. Well worth the meagre asking price. :-)

An excellent little side-scroller, with an interesting story. Very simple design but works it's charm. There are a few hiccups regarding controls and UI design, but given it's the studios first game it is very well done.

Very nice game, great design, especially the consideration of the extra height gained with upslash attack, the soundtrack and sound design in general is top tier. Space Pirates for LYFE!1!!1
