Guide Alice, cat astronaut extraordinaire, to the top of the building without being caught by the vicious Space Mice. The original version of this vertically-scrolling maze game was released in September 1981 for the PC-8001. It was designed by Takanari Suzuki, Japan’s first star game creator.

Frankly I think instead of remaking it they should just have published the type-in-program code via Steam.
This game is pretty fun. It captures the essence of a retro Japanese action-game. My only complaint is that even the first levels are a bit too difficult. Other than that, the game's a steal for the price it's going for!
Hard. Retro. Good. As in 'simple and good' that will challenge you should you decide really get good at the game. That's all. Keeping it simple like games used to be. I was glad to fork down some euros for this one.
very fun.
Surprisingly addictive game. It's a little like Donkey Kong mixed with Pac-man, but much more fast-paced and the power-up mainly used to chew through walls and ascend really quickly. You need to think on your feet and also a bit of logic since enemies will fall through the first pit they pass through. It's kinda funny playing a DOS-like game with Steam achievements. Makes you reminisce about the simple times of video games. The game also has a bunch of cute retro throwback modes that change the visuals and audio, which are also different versions of the game with different rules. There is also an infinite/survival mode, which is always a big plus in my book for games like this that you can play idly while in the middle of other things and to see how long you can last.
fun game
Bought this on a whim out of curiosity, having never heard of this game before but intrigued by the video. The gameplay holds up exceptionally well, as it is true for all good arcade games. The player must climb procedurally generated floors while avoiding enemies and collecting items, all under a very generous time limit. The enjoyment comes from quickly figuring out the best path to take and when to act based on how well the player can evaluate the (completely deterministic) route that on-screen enemies will take. It has 5 different "versions", going from the new snazzy nes-like update to the older, barebone ascii versions. If you have any curiosity on old games, the history and birth of games, or just like arcade games à la pac-man, this is for you.
