This game is hella jank and you probably will not like it. It is more of an art piece than a game and perfectly encapsulates the feeling of exploring something strange and unknown, jumping from portal to portal, suddenly being thrust into new and strange environments. I am very fond of this game myself. For the price it is it is definitely worth a try if you like rolling ball games
Very Trippy Very Trip
if you're reading this review there's a chance you're wondering if you should play the Space Hole games before Extreme Evolution. or maybe you're wondering if you should play any of Sam Atlas' games. lets do a little Q&A Q: is this weedslop? A: is your heart so cold and broken that you cant appreciate the abstract? it's trying to alienate you! it's a crawl through hostile and unfamiliar spaces. overstimulation being wielded as a weapon and tool for atmosphere! I think it does it very well. and yes, it is "smokeable". moving on. Q: is this game hard? do I need to be experienced at ballplay A: this game is begging for you to break it. if you've finished a difficult level without feeling like you cheated, then you're probably doing something wrong. you'll be fine. Q: should I play this before Extreme Evolution? or if I've already played that one? A: should you play anything? it's super cheap, it's not very long. it's basically impossible to "waste" your time playing any video game over another unless the game you're playing happens to be the kind of ♥♥♥♥ that's tuned in a lab to waste your time (MMOs, rougelikes, gacha, team based competitive multiplayer). if you like it then great! you've won your leisure time! if you don't like it maybe you'll learn something about your taste. what a terrible fate. anyways this game is pretty good. there should be more metroidvanias without combat. there should be more platformers in which you ball. eagerly anticipating 2020 and then Extreme Evolution.
This is just a giant acid tripping masterpiece 80/100

30 dakikada epilepsi krizi. 6/10
Чем-то напоминает серию игр "Super Monkey Ball", сделанную специально для пыток на бесплатных юнити ассетах. Мусор.
The Best of the Space Hole games (try the others to form an opinion though, they are cheap and the bundle is a good deal), and I would rate it around equal to Extreme Evolution (the one I like better flip flops, EE is probably a bit better but this is more accessible). This is a very unique marble game, rather then a liner set of stages you go through an interconnected map of stages, connected by portals. Gems are scattered across each level and collecting certain amounts of them will open up doorways to new levels. You are given several abilities (grow/shrink, reverse time, become a cube etc.) throughout the game, giving it a soft metroidvania feel - you are also able to find interesting tech with these abilities which might not be immediately obvious. The best ability is there from the start however, the ability to exit you ball and fly around freely as a marble, this is very fun and allows you to reach new areas and scout the level - however all gems and most portals can only be accessed with a ball, therein lies the challenge. Outside of game play the aesthetic of the game is incredible and will immerse you in a almost completely abstract world, this game, above EE creates a vast diversity of environments that invoke various types of emotion. There are also some very memorable music tracks which augment this experience In terms of story, where it is present it is very open to interpretation. I do feel however that this game manages to escape the disconnect I sometimes feel with competently abstract games, I guess it is the immersive world rather then a traditional story that carries it in this aspect. There is however an ending and I found it decently satisfying. It is also worth noting that there are a few bonus toys that you eventually unlock, including a drawing tool with psychedelic filters, though far from the focus this is a fun distraction and welcome addition.
i CRASHED it, after like 10 minutes of playing.
