About
Space Engineers is an open world sandbox game about designing, building and testing your own space machines. Construct ships, stations and planetary bases in a fully destructible environment, then explore planets and space, mine resources, survive hazards and engage in combat alone or with friends in Creative or Survival modes.
Play solo or in multiplayer, from small co-op outposts to huge community servers. Start with a simple lander, grow into a mining and industrial empire, or focus on warships and planetary fortresses – the game gives you the tools and physics, you decide what to build.
Space Engineers uses a volumetric physics engine: every block and voxel has mass, inertia and damage. Ships break apart, stations crumble and terrain can be drilled, carved and reshaped, so your engineering choices really matter.
Space Engineers is grounded in real engineering and hard science fiction, driven by realism and plausible near-future technology. Think modern space programs extrapolated into the future: realistic ships, stations, tools and systems where everything is built and simulated block by block. It’s about the machinery you build, not about magic or scripted set-pieces.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wanted to like it so much but the building system is abysmal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Pros

You can build truly epic structures, vehicles, and spaceships (but doing so outside of Creative Mode is a complete nightmare).
Cons

Graphics: - There is definitely something wrong with the lighting and shadow system. Everything looks very weird. The image also feels blurry (and FXAA antialiasing isn't the culprit here). Tweaking the settings doesn't fix it. Mods partially solve this issue. Controls: - Most building games and MMOs have long adopted a somewhat standardized control scheme optimized for inventory management and hotbars. Here, the controls are as clunky as it gets, and in most cases, you can't even fix it by rebinds. Some actions can't be rebound at all. - If you are standing right up against an object, you can't jump onto it, which is incredibly annoying when building (i get that it's tied to how the game's physics work, but when you can't even jump up a tiny ledge, it just looks incredibly stupid). Environment: - Forget about decent enemies (proper PvE is non-existent). They are as dumb as a brick. I want to highlight the wolves specifically rather than space battles. They spawn right behind your back when you spend too much time working in one spot (on Earth like planets). What’s absurd isn’t just that they spawn out of nowhere, but how they behave and move. Since it’s a building sandbox, it’s somewhat forgivable, but still. For the reason mentioned above, the game is only worth playing either with someone else (just to spend a few evenings building your dream ship and chatting) or against other players (if you enjoy PvP).

Never have I ever given a bad review to a game. Well, today's the day. The tutorial kept on soft-locking me, or whatever it is, "Quick-start". Couldn't understand how to destroy stuff for the first 10 minutes. The trailer was SO different from this "garbage". I was expecting something like trailmakers + no man's sky + stellaris. This was so much worse. I couldn't figure out how to move building blocks, because the tutorial was terrible. I couldn't... for the life of me, figure out how I was so excited about this before I bought it. Building makes me want to refund the game, which I most probably will! 90% of the game is behind two thousand DLCs. I bought three, and I only unlocked like, 13 building blocks or, whatever the hell. 3/10, I do NOT recommend this game.
What a absalute joke... The games been out for how long now?? 10 Years? and the XBOX controllers still dont work the way they do on consoles! Just how? SE 2 is out and i wonder if the same problems are in that game too!? All i wanted to do is play the game on PC with better performance with the same lvl of inpute and control i got from a xbox controller... BUT NO.....
i regret i bough this game....why to make things so complicated!!
