Its quite a fun little game which combines cats, FTL and hexfield strategy, feels a bit like that boardgame Battlestations! Only downside: its a bit short with 5 hrs of play. Maybe there will be more missions in the future.
This is hard, for under $10 it is interesting but still needs more work. I judge based on finished product. But there are bugs, required steps to move forward are not always clear especially if you hit next before completing. I think it needs more time in the oven.
This turn-based strategy RPG is packed with smooth gameplay and impressive features. The game contains a high-quality graphics and an immersive sounds. If you likes RPGs and strategic adventures, 'Space Cats Tactics' is a must-play. Highly recommended – dive in and experience it for yourself!
This game is super cool, nice plot and cool cast (of cats)! Love Dal Gabot, whe's wonder-ful. Gameplay wise it's really fun and the fact (as I understand) this is a one man show is really quite amazing.
What is says on the box. Are the cat jokes cheesy? Yes, they (rightfully) are. But it's in space, and the tactical gameplay is a treat - a real highlight that requires you to carefully consider grid positioning, crew and priorities to survive.
I like cats, I like cat-related puns, and I like originality, so Space Cats Tactics is an easy recommendation in my book. However, I recommend it with the caveat that you can only expect 4 hours' worth of content. It's just a single campaign; no sidequests, no postgame, no NG+, no difficulty selector, or anything else. That said, I enjoyed the game enough that I'd probably be willing to play it again at some point. Additionally, I'd much rather play a short but good game instead of a long and mediocre game; content for the sake of content is never a good business model if you ask me. I've seen other reviews complain about how the game isn't very involved, but does it really HAVE to be? In-battle strategies are admittedly simple, but the concept is original and fun. It's got light tactics mixed with the FTL-inspired ship management, resulting in a pleasantly unique mix that's a nice deviation from the typical XCOM or FFT clone. There's a lot of good groundwork here which could definitely be expanded upon in a sequel, and I do hope the game eventually does get a sequel with more characters, more ships, more abilities, and more content. The game lacks a quicksave feature, which can get annoying if you need to leave your play session. Space Cats Tactics also suffers from some framerate issues when you're in the ship management phase. Aside from these two flaws however, Space Cats Tactics has great QoL and is bug free, at least from what I could tell.
it's short but fun, and the cat puns are very good.
This game is super cool! Love the cat puns and the visuals are very spacey!
Интересно иногда посмотреть на работу малой команды. Люди постарались. Выглядит не очень дешево при этом.
