Strong 7 out of 10 Good story, dialogue, art, and decision making. Sound design compliments the theme. Overall a good VN. As for the 18+ patch: I am an achievement-hunter, so I downloaded it hoping for the addition of collectibles, a gallery, gachas, etc. Unfortunately, it's just some silly H-scenes. I believe if the devs wanted to make a more fully developed "serious" VN, they could. The talent is there. I am looking forward to the next chapter.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I'm going to have to downvote this one, because, while the story is good and writing is actually believable, the game won't let you take screenshots while the UI is off. It'll queue up the screenshot until you click and the UI turns one again. The resolution is also on the small side so when you go to fullscreen it stretches the image and it looks bad. My fault for having a screen with native resolution higher than 1080p. I know this is common among games of this type, but it looks especially bad here. On the plus side, the H-scenes are pretty good, but there are only a few (and no gallery). Not really excusable in this day and age for these games.
I've played it through twice. Its got good player interaction for a VN. It also has good character development (as deep as you can get in less then 2 hours), my complaint is that game gives us a variety about Imperial and other factions, but you give no information about them. A few blurbs of imagination that has already gone into the game would help players except the characters be more real. I don't mind invisible histories, but I nice blurb about them can a long ways towards making a player more sympathetic to them. My 2 cents.
Low-budget space pirate misadventure plus casual romances, what more could you ask for? I was close to likening this title to a budget version of Star Wars, but that would be an abuse of the famous brand. Still, the story of Leo, a space captain, does resemble Han Solo's off-screen career, i.e. the mercenary's dole. Since the protagonist is low on money, he agrees to take on a mission from a secretive bartender - Bulla. After gathering a small team, they all travel to a distant casino, where a risky heist awaits. As the story is not of the long ones, you can learn what fate awaits the ragtag group within a few short hours. There are two bad and one true ending which you can reach after some reading. The writing is good enough to make the story at least partly enjoyable; however, there is a scarcity of complexity of any sort. Neither the characters nor the world feel truly fleshed out. Also, I need to deduct some points due to the unfinished story. A sequel was apparently planned, but it never materialized. It is not the most engrossing read but the quality does not descend into the depths of hell. In terms of art, the quality is neither a masterpiece nor an eyesore. The character tachie are good enough, but there is a very limited variety of poses and expressions. Since there is very little romance in here, there are only a few brief h-scenes. At least all perversion is uncensored. As for the rest of the design, while I'm not a big fan of pre-rendered backgrounds, they're not horrible to look at. Other elements are as bland as possible. Budget VN after all. The music devs implemented here is of average quality. Nothing is catchy nor memorable, and the variety is minimal, but the genre of the tracks matches the sci-fi theme nicely. There is no voice acting and there are no sound effects, but this is par for the course considering the price point of this title. No bugs encountered. Overall, this short sci-fi vn offers a slightly amusing story that, unfortunately, lacks a proper conclusion. The music and art are mostly average and there is very little hentai(for those who asked), so I can only provide a tepid recommendation of this product, but I certainly read worse: 5.3/10
I'm too lazy to unlock the "Serena Blasts Off" achievement.
i'm saying yes because i think the good outweighs the bad. I enjoyed the music, artwork, background, and story. It doesn't bother me that it will continue in another game. some of the bad. no gallery. no options at main menu, game is short, characters felt like golems just standing in spot. i didn't even know they had facial expressions until i saw a laugh. i guess i was hoping to see more poses not straight as a board. i had an issue with Bulla's adult scene. for a "race where breasts were suppose to be important you saw nothing. i feel like it just destroyed the scene.
I am about an hour into the game and if just seems like an adult comic book which isn't bad but I am not really immersed in this story. Something is just missing. For starters, it would be best if I can just name my own character and not play with the name that was given to the Captain. There should be a mechanic in the storyline where you can name the Captain. Well, especially since I am the Captain, the main character in this game. The artwork is not animated in anyway, not enough facial expressions or slight changes, something to emote a little emotion. The artwork is very static which is the case for some of these types of games and not so for others. The game is not terrible but I am kinda bored with it. The game is uncensored which is great.
