Be immersed, submerged actually in the world of the Brillo whale. An unusual whale, with an unusual biology in a world of fantastical creatures and miss-understood sharks! This is a game less about animals and more about our relationship with each other as humans and about our healthy imaginations. [h3]Grounding[/h3] Highly recommend this game for children as well as adults, in a world tired out with hidden agendas, wokeness, gender distress and climate change fear. This discovery of a small island chain formed alongside a deep water subduction zone is a breath of fresh air (or water) for us all. Natural barriers will not hold your imagination back as hand drawn images will have the kids squealing and adults truly appreciating. Warning : themes of Death and Birth. Absolutely fantastic. Everybody should read/listen to this. The AI narration had some rough spots, but was decent overall. There's a slider to mute the voices, so no harm there. Even diehard anti-AI people can easily enjoy the novel without the robo-parts. The art and story were perfect. The lives and behaviors of the brillo whales were fascinating, and I'd happily watch a 10-part documentary on this world's creatures.

This is beyond incredible, beyond amazing, beyond a visual novel. And really do mean beyond visual novel. It takes the medium and perfects it. With interactive footnotes to further your understanding of the rich rich universe South Scrimshaw lies within, and beautiful auditory accompaniment that deepens your immersion within the story. Even just the images that are used, and sometimes there are animations, are simply incredible. So many are worthy of being displayed all by themselves. They are absolutely stunning. This game is also so freaking nerdy its insane, and genuinely such amazing worldbuilding its absurd. Stars this game is such a treat to go through just for this documentarian approach to easily the coolest fictitious species I've ever seen. The Brillo Whale is genuinely such an amazing species with so much potential and possibility along with amazing examples shown. The idea of this highly adaptive species that has so many possibilities is just chefs kiss. And the fact that this game is completely free to download, play, and experience is insane to me. Stars this game is seriously a must play its so incredible. Its so emotionally engaging and beautiful and well written and so well made and put together its just... AHHHHH Seriously, bravo Mr. Marsh, you've created by far the best visual novel that this one has ever had the pleasure of playing and/or seeing. AND THE ARTBOOK IS 215 PAGES??? Like I know its not free and included, but come on this game really is just a treat.

Sick marine alien biology and tons beautifully illustrated CGs, plus an awesome little whale protagonist. Can't forget the great usage of the medium to allow for extra "tangents", straddling the boundary of what could be considered a kinetic novel. All in all a great first part to what will hopefully be an awesome series.
