Lovely.
Beautiful game with a beautiful story. I loved it. I'm excited to play it again and find the rest of the floofs.
This is such a beautiful video game.. Both visually and thematically, the narrative and storytelling is just, simply put, great. I was really enamored with this world and would love to see more.

Very cool concept. The character design is great, story is great, music is fantastic! And it's just challenging enough for me. Would definitely recommend this game. Update: I've 100% completed the game now and actually every playthrough has been really fun. Again, the music is fantastic! The vibe is immaculate. With the bosses, they do have some predictable attack patterns but I didn't mind too much because each boss has their own custom song that plays while you fight them and as I said before, I really vibed with that lol. Story is really fun, especially as the lore has a lot to do with real folklore from the south with their own spin on things. I really would recommend this game if you want a chill game with good level design and a banging soundtrack. It's not a massively long game tbf so it really is an easy play for me. Yeah really like this one.
Honestly the same problems that I had with SlitterHead I had with this game. The combat isn't bad it just has some flaws that make the combat more of a chore at times than it needed to be. It also does'nt help that the enemy design isn't as varied and the encounters for these fights are pretty much the same so if you don't enjoy it the first time you're probably not going to enjoy it when more encounters happen. However even with those flaws the story, sound, and art design are more than enough to keep you going, The games NOT for everyone but to call it bad is a HUGE reach, I'd advise getting it on sale if you're still on the fence. its a 7.5/8 out of 10 imo.
A beautiful adventure game inspired by folklore of the southern states (US). The gameplay is divided into two distinct sections. One is exploration and traversal and the other is combat. Combat only happens in clearly marked arenas and can feel a bit repetitive. The game only features a limited set of enemy types and the arenas lack any unique mechanics and are almost all just a oddly shaped circles. Likewise the skillet available to fight these enemies is also very manageable. Bosses are a change of pace as they usually have a basic mechanic attached to them and the arenas introduce some hazards. Overall the combat is serviceable and manages to break up the exploration and as such it gets the job done. The exploration is bit more diverse switching between more open areas and connecting corridors that are linear. The changing environments add to the flair. The areas are just big and complex enough to hide collectibles as well as upgrade resources but not overtly so. The puzzles are of the simple kind and will not impede progress. One of the highlights is certainly the claymation or stop-motion inspired aesthetics and the presentation. The game is beautiful and pleasing to look at. Luckily the stop-motion effect can be turned off for smoother gameplay. The songs are nice too however a bit on the nose thematically. Another plus is the rather fresh setting of the southern states and their folklore. The story is solid and the entire game is well acted and voiced. That said Hazel is bit more on the talkative side. The game is not very long, with around 10 hours it doesn’t overstay its welcome. Overall I enjoyed my time with the game.
very visually appealing and the story is adorable!
Simply a good game. Music and sound design are fantastic, the story is good, and it’s visually beautiful. The mechanics and gameplay are solid, and the game runs smoothly. If you have a hankering for a good ol' Deep South tale, definitely recommended
