JUEGAZO BRO
Love it! The gameplay and visuals are great, but you should finish the game once on normal difficulty before moving on to higher settings. Using magic makes the early game much smoother.
Swordswoman doing SSS air combos on monsters in a quest to get her wifeguy back. What's not to love? SoulQuest has everything I love about spectacle fights and marries it to 2D platforming surprisingly well. Encounters can be hard as nails, not helped by the checkpoint system, but I am absolutely eager to see this through to the end. Once my hand stops cramping XD
As a big DMC fan, it's great finding other games that really kind of nail that flow. And this game does it well. And I particularly like the pixel art style. I do feel like the speed requirement on grading your performance is really high. I don't think I ever got higher than a C on most levels, and I that's actively trying. Combat feels really good. And what I particularly appreciate is even making monster that are large and would normally not be able to be combo'd, have a stagger meter that will let pick them up and do whatever you like to them. I am curious why so many achievements aren't working. I beat the game on medium and neither the achievement for beating easy (or higher) and normal (or higher) didn't pop. I also made it through two levels without taking damage, and that one didn't proc either, and I gave up on it at that point. Also, I opened all chests and got 100% completion on every level and the achievement for that didn't unlock either. That one was particularly frustrating as most the chests are behind walls with absolutely no indicator that they are fake... meaning you have to slam your face against every surface in the level when trying to find them, which isn't particularly fun. And to go through that and not even get the achievement sucks. This may have been something I'd try to 100% but not in this state. But aside from these achievements not working, I really had fun with this. I guess this is just a warning for achievement hunter. But if you don't care about them, then you're going to have a good time.
this is one of the best indie games I have played I hope we get to see more it is definitely worth the price
Soulquest ultimately turns out to be a hack-and-slash experience, with gameplay taking precedence over the narrative—though the story is engaging enough to keep you hooked on what’s happening and make it impossible to put the controller down. While it currently has some collider glitches, especially in combat areas where platforms move, the game achieves something unique: it puts you in that state of flow when you unlock various attacks and can’t stop dodging, attacking, and chaining combos. Be warned: until you can achieve that, the game requires you to internalize enemy patterns, and you’re going to die—A LOT. Luckily, it has three difficulty modes, though even the “Easy” setting felt challenging, especially in the early levels where your attacks and combos are more limited—I even ended up with sore hands from smashing buttons so much. All that said, I think it’s a great game that needs a few tweaks in the combat areas I mentioned, but it ends up being a must-play for fans of the platformer and hack-and-slash genres. My applause goes to Ariel Contreras Esquivel for such a great score; I would have liked even more tracks beyond the variations that play when you’re in combat and your fight ranking goes up or down.
Komutan Leydisi Alys'in Maceraları!
Good game, challenging as well as highly rewarding. You can configure difficulty and environmental threats in case its too much. The control feels nice and the combat, though hard initially you get to understand it as it consist more on crowd control than brainlessly smashing buttons. The pixel art looks very nice and the bso is good too.
