Sonic travels to the distant shores of Never Lake for the once-a-year appearance of Little Planet - a mysterious world where past, present, and future collide through the power of the Time Stones that lie hidden within it.
Sonic CD!

Play it. Just play it and get the generators. It's a great game and heavily overhated (for no good reasons btw). If you don't own it on steam, just get the origins version (pretty much the same thing).
Either I'm too old for Sonic, or I should have played it as a kid, but I didn't have a Sega, we had DOS. Maybe platform racing games aren't my thing. I prefer arcade racing to be arcade racing, and platformers to be platformers. Also i'm too old for a limited number of lives. It runs well on Linux. I played a little more. I don't understand how this game could become a cult classic?! The environment is nearly impossible to read: everything blurs together, enemies blur together, springs blur together, stakes blur together. You don't have time to feel your speed because you're constantly bumping into obstacles that stop you. To feel like Sonic, you need to memorize the level, but the game is linear, not modular: you don't unlock levels that you can replay over and over again, improving your stats. UPD: The main problem with all Sonic games, at least the 2D ones, is Sonic. Sonic is a speedster, but the levels are designed in such a way that they rarely let you feel like one, due to obstacles constantly throwing you off-kilter, completely stopping you in your tracks. If you play the game like a typical platformer, you might even start to enjoy it. But if you play the game like a typical platformer, it immediately becomes apparent that Sonic is too fast for a platformer and has to be constantly slowed down to keep him from going too fast, and that the game is very weak as a platformer. It's easier to go for a full-fledged platformer, with puzzles, challenges, etc., or a full-fledged racing game. Other catastrophic issues: - The game is linear – if you complete a level, you've completed it. You can't replay a level to find all the puzzles – you must start over or use cheats. - The game only saves at the beginning of each zone, not the beginning of a level. Each zone has two levels – the game only saves at the first level of each zone. - You can't replay zones with blue orbs and chaos emeralds. PS. I highly recommend using cheats from the very beginning. https://youtu.be/q-AG0cfSj7I
