About
Fighting has always been in your blood. From petty street fights, to Ranger school and finally to the 5th Special Forces Group, fighting was the only thing that made sense.
Years after leaving the service you find yourself living in the heart of London, carving a path in the competitive world of Mixed Martial Arts. Not the life you had envisioned, but comfortable nonetheless.
When a sudden tragedy thrusts you back into the past you'd left behind and the only link a young woman has to the rest of the world you find yourself with a new outlook on life.
Can you navigate the dangerous world of professional sports, while managing to keep yourself and those around you safe and sane? Or will you finally succumb to the pressure around you and break?
You won't be alone on this journey however, meet the lovely group of ladies who will join you.
Viridiana "Vi" Davis

A young woman from your youth. With her world collapsing around her can you provide the comfort she needs?
Amrit Swain

A genius kickboxer and your personal protege. Will you be coaching her in more than just the art of fighting?
Elspeth Adair

The prodigal scion of an old and prestigious bloodline. Will you prove worthy to discover this beautiful (and somewhat intimidating) woman's secrets?
Kanako "Kana" Taiaroa

Hailing from beautiful New Zealand this young woman has fled the only life she's ever known. Will you help return her to the path she's always belonged on?

But not something to read about. Worthless drivel.
Story 2/10 Interface 7/10 Renders 7/10 Content 8/10 Overall : Meh 6/10 A horribly long winded progression of whining by a Gary Stu (Mary Sue) who can do no wrong. Women all worship the ground he walks on and yet he wallows endlessly in self pity. Nauseating. It is a very slow burn with 20% spicy content and 80% dull verbage about things you absolutely will not care about. Has mini game fight mechanics that again are too dull to bother with. No sound effects.
bonne histoire, et le mieux est qu'elle n'est pas tirée par les cheveux, les perso ont de la profondeur cela rends l'histoire plus vivante. à quand le book 2?
Very rare to have realistic, grown up dialogue in these games. It's a pleasant surprise and makes it much easier to get invested in the story.
Maybe a bit slow-paced for some, but the writing is strong and well-suited to this type of game. It presents mature themes grounded in realism, setting it apart from typical university-style games. Definitely deserving of two thumbs up.
The stories and stills are great! I was in love with each woman, except Serena and Amrit. Rena had a weird horse face. The piercings in Amrit's face was a big turn off, as all face piercings are in life. Quite a few spelling mistakes, and even missing words. If you're gonna have Americans in your game, at least learn the language properly, including slang, before you translate it in a game. Big let down trying to figure out what they were saying sometimes. Favorites were the frenchie and the kiwi, with the Scot being 3rd in position. Yeah, they all had interested stories. Most being heartfelt, deep down to the soul touching. Biggest let down were the intimate motion scenes. To go from great stills, to wet plastic blow up doll motion scenes was downright disgusting. After the first few I saw, I tried to skip the rest as fast as possible. But without trying to just skip the story. Wanted to really see the actual story. Devs have a lot of work to do with those motion scenes, or just eliminate all sex doll motions, to make me want to get the next season though. But this one was at least worth it for the story, and the stills. OK, it's now been over a year, now end of June 2026, and there hasn't been talk at all about when the next 'Book" will be coming out. Seeing how it's just this AVN the Dev has released, I'm guessing that this is another first timer that has just given up and abandoned the game altogether. It happens a lot with AVNs. Especially on Steam. What's funny is just a couple weeks since my updated review, they announce a walkthrough guide. It's funny because anyone with any sense would have already figured the crap out by now anyway. And the guide is stupid because what their suggestions for choices make no sense either. So thanks for nothing on that, Devs. But now I'm changing my recommendation to no. They will not finish the story with a season 2.
Extremely good writing, and great characters. Can't wait for book two. Good job!
Something To Write About: Unbroken – Book One is a narrative-focused visual novel that blends emotional storytelling with meaningful player choice, creating an experience that emphasizes personal growth over spectacle. Developed and published by SeanchaiStudios, the game follows a former Special Forces operative who has rebuilt his life as a professional mixed martial artist. Just as he appears to have found stability, an unexpected tragedy forces him to confront painful memories while taking responsibility for someone whose future now depends on him. This premise immediately establishes a mature tone, combining themes of loss, resilience, family, and redemption into a story that prioritizes character development above all else. The game's greatest strength lies in its writing. Rather than relying on constant action or dramatic twists, it gradually builds emotional investment through authentic conversations, difficult choices, and believable relationships. The protagonist is portrayed as someone shaped by hardship but still capable of compassion and growth, making him an engaging central figure. His military experience influences his outlook without defining every aspect of his personality, allowing the narrative to explore how past trauma affects present decisions. The story carefully balances quieter, introspective moments with emotionally charged scenes that carry genuine weight because of the time spent developing both the characters and their relationships. Player choice is woven deeply into the experience, making each decision feel significant. Dialogue selections and key story choices influence friendships, romantic possibilities, career opportunities, and the overall direction of the narrative. Rather than presenting obvious right or wrong answers, the game often asks players to consider the emotional consequences of their actions. This branching approach encourages multiple playthroughs, as different choices reveal alternate conversations, evolving relationships, and story outcomes that can substantially change how events unfold. The emphasis on consequence reinforces the feeling that the player is shaping the protagonist's life rather than simply progressing through a predetermined script. The supporting cast is another highlight, with each character contributing meaningfully to the story instead of serving as simple background figures. Friends, rivals, mentors, and potential romantic interests all possess distinct personalities and motivations that gradually emerge throughout the narrative. Their interactions with the protagonist feel natural, reflecting both personal struggles and shared experiences. Romance is present but remains balanced within the broader narrative, functioning as one aspect of emotional healing instead of becoming the sole focus. This gives relationships greater authenticity and allows emotional connections to develop at a believable pace. The setting also helps distinguish the game from many other visual novels. The professional MMA environment provides a refreshing backdrop that complements the protagonist's disciplined yet emotionally conflicted personality. References to his military service add depth to the narrative without overshadowing the present-day storyline. Instead of glorifying violence, the game examines the emotional costs of combat and the challenge of adapting to ordinary life after extraordinary experiences. This combination of sports drama, psychological reflection, and interpersonal storytelling gives the narrative a unique identity that feels grounded despite its dramatic circumstances. Visually, the game delivers attractive character illustrations and expressive artwork that effectively support its emotional scenes. Character portraits successfully convey subtle changes in mood, helping conversations feel more engaging despite the relatively simple presentation. Backgrounds create a convincing atmosphere across various locations, while the clean interface keeps attention focused on the story itself. Although the production values may not rival the biggest visual novels on the market, the presentation consistently complements the writing and enhances the overall experience. The pacing may not appeal equally to every player. Those looking for frequent combat or fast-moving action may find the story progresses deliberately, with considerable emphasis placed on dialogue and emotional development. However, this slower rhythm benefits the narrative by allowing important relationships and character arcs to evolve naturally. Players who appreciate story-rich visual novels will likely find the measured pacing rewarding, while those seeking constant excitement may need patience during the quieter sections. Ultimately, Something To Write About: Unbroken – Book One succeeds because it treats its characters with sincerity and its themes with maturity. Instead of presenting a conventional tale of heroism, it explores how people recover from loss, rebuild trust, and search for purpose after life-changing events. Its blend of branching storytelling, emotional depth, and believable character interactions creates an engaging first chapter that establishes a strong foundation for future installments. While its focus on dialogue-heavy storytelling may limit its appeal to players seeking more action-oriented gameplay, fans of narrative-driven visual novels will find a thoughtful and emotionally rewarding experience that leaves them eager to see where the story continues. Rating: 8/10
Good game. Cant wait for the next Book
I wasn't even looking to get this game when I did. I just ended up throwing it on some other things I was getting. Pretty much from jump street I was hooked. The writing is amazing. This isn't one of those that your brain has to really shut off to get thru all the horrible syntax or spelling errors and giant assets. This is a real choose your own adventure and there are different ways to play. I only went thru it the one time but I am curious about other choices to have made. I definitely questioned my decisions when I made them but I didn't want to roll back. This should really set the standard for how these stories go. Amazing, well written characters (even tho the creator definitely has a thing for the shorter haired ladies...) it feels deep and not just another waste of space "look at torpedo titsi McGee and all the characters want hairys magic wand. Granted, in this game, the ladies all do want to show him their chamber of secrets, at least it fits the narrative with being ex special forces and a serious MMA guy. The whole mentor and champion thing was a lot of fun too. Definitely interested in more fights and seeing what happens in the next chapter. I can't really think of anything I didn't enjoy or was annoyed about while playing this. It had me coming back to see the story thru for multiple days. Buying on sale seems like a steal. I really hope we can keep finding this level of writing, because it is a nice change.
