About
You are the last force standing between the encroaching Last Season and what remains of this world. Build your perfect deck, master synergies, and fight back against the encroaching Last Season. Choose your Warden and channel their unique rune stone deck to stand against unholy creatures threatening the last remnants of the world.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter - each season carries its own distinct power, capable of shaping the battlefield in unique ways. Use seasonal runes to manipulate terrain, boost abilities, and weaken enemies, while creating devastating synergies. But beware—the Last Season is relentless, and your foes already consumed by it wield their own devastating abilities to ensure your downfall. Adapt, strategize, and save what remains of the dying world.

The land of Ecendael was once a thriving nation, safeguarded by the Wardens of Change. That was, until Morrigan the Unfading, once a Warden herself, betrayed the order and unleashed the Last Season—a plague of stagnation that drains life, warps minds, and spreads unstoppable corruption. Armed with the last remnants of seasonal magic, the surviving Wardens must reclaim their lost power and push back against the corruption that has ravaged their land. Each Warden brings a unique approach to battle, shaping the fight from the very first card played.

The Wardens are the last force standing between corruption and survival. You can choose between three of them, each tied to two unique starting decks with different playstyles. Experiment with different strategies, refine your deck as you progress, and discover powerful new synergies with each run. With every failed attempt, you’ll grow stronger, unlocking new decks and gaining access to even more potent and complex runes.

This game is very bare bones. It runs well and doesn't require any complicated calculations. It's just got very little appeal after one run of enemies that are all the same. Move and attack, move and attack. Low cost is an upside but I don't see me playing this any more than I already have,
It’s a card-based roguelike (using runes instead) with fairly straightforward gameplay, so it’s quite easy to get the hang of. There are some characters to unlock, with different types and styles of runes. As the rounds progress, the seasons / the ground element changes, which adds a bit of variety, although what really stands out is how good it looks for such an affordable price. It’s not a particularly big or deep game, but it does the job and is perfect for playing alongside music or other background content. Solnox - Grimoire of Seasons combine Grid Turnbase Tactic with Deck Building mechanic into a Roguelike setting, its weird but strangely ok to play. You have movement + Attack + Defense + Season (Buff) card in your deck to build up, every route will either let you gain gold for shop/ new card or remove card for defeating a set amount of monster spawn in every point. There are few unlockable characters with different build you can try as the game get tougher each run. However, its feel abit stale because there no much variety of monster or Big Boss that will be a challenge (i play once in merciful run), plus the front wording in the story is so tiny and long its hard to see. I mean it could "get" pretty cool if by the time you're T4 the merchants had weapon/armor upgrades for health pool or defense or movement bonus or damage, something, ANYTHING Geezus! ZzzZzzZZzzZzzz
At its introductory price of 5 Euros, nothing much can go wrong here. A fun and elegant little turn-based roguelite of a game. My one gripe would be how it's a little on the nose regarding its literary inspirations here and there, but OK. So far, so good.
Pretty fun turn based combat roguelike. Nothing groundbreaking but it's still fun to play. Graphics are good and it's cheap. I think I'm gonna play it more.
Solnox: Grimoire of Seasons takes a familiar roguelike foundation and enriches it with an imaginative seasonal magic system that gives each expedition a distinct personality. Developed and published by ByteRockers' Games, the title transports players to the troubled realm of Ecendeal, where corruption has spread across the land and only a handful of Wardens possess the power to restore balance. From the outset, the game establishes a strong fantasy atmosphere, blending tactical combat, deckbuilding, and narrative elements into an experience that rewards both careful planning and adaptability. At the center of the gameplay is a compelling mix of card-based abilities and turn-based tactical encounters on a hexagonal battlefield. Positioning carries as much weight as selecting the right rune or ability, creating encounters that demand more than simply building the strongest deck. The game's defining feature is its seasonal mechanic, which ties abilities and battlefield effects to spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Each season alters the flow of combat in meaningful ways, encouraging players to experiment with different combinations and strategies. Rather than treating the theme as a cosmetic addition, Solnox integrates it into nearly every aspect of progression, making each run feel dynamic and unpredictable. Replayability is another area where the game performs admirably. Players can choose between three Wardens, each offering their own strengths and preferred combat styles. Some excel at controlling enemy movement and surviving prolonged engagements, while others favor speed, precision, or offensive power. Acquiring new rune stones throughout a run opens the door to increasingly elaborate synergies, often resulting in powerful builds that can completely transform how a character is played. The satisfaction of discovering a combination that perfectly complements a Warden's abilities is one of the game's strongest hooks, especially for players who enjoy refining strategies over multiple attempts. The presentation complements the gameplay effectively. Solnox embraces a hand-painted visual style that gives Ecendeal a melancholic charm, with forests, ruins, and corrupted landscapes helping to sell the world's ongoing struggle. Spell effects are visually distinct without becoming overwhelming, and enemy designs contribute to the game's fantasy identity. The soundtrack supports the experience with atmospheric compositions that maintain a sense of mystery throughout each journey. While the art direction is consistently appealing, some players may feel that environmental variety could have been expanded further to better distinguish later areas from earlier ones. Accessibility is another notable achievement. Tactical deckbuilders can often intimidate newcomers with layers of interconnected systems, but Solnox introduces its mechanics at a manageable pace. The game provides enough guidance to help new players understand seasonal interactions and combat fundamentals without sacrificing the depth that genre enthusiasts expect. As a result, it strikes a comfortable balance between being approachable and offering sufficient complexity for long-term engagement. Mastering the finer points of positioning, timing, and rune management becomes an enjoyable process rather than a frustrating one. That said, the experience is not entirely without flaws. Certain boss encounters lack the impact needed to serve as memorable climaxes, particularly when compared to the creativity found in the core mechanics. Narrative elements, while interesting in concept, occasionally take a back seat to gameplay and leave some of the world's lore feeling underdeveloped. Additionally, veteran roguelike players may eventually notice patterns emerging across multiple runs, which can reduce the sense of discovery over extended play sessions. Despite these shortcomings, Solnox: Grimoire of Seasons succeeds in delivering a thoughtful and engaging tactical roguelike. Its integration of seasonal magic, strategic movement, and deckbuilding creates a gameplay loop that remains satisfying across repeated attempts. ByteRockers' Games has crafted a title that confidently establishes its own identity within a crowded genre, offering enough originality to stand apart while remaining accessible to a broad audience. For players seeking a fantasy adventure that values experimentation and tactical decision-making, Solnox provides a rewarding journey through a world worth saving. Rating: 7/10
I honestly had a lot of fun with this one. You pick a character class with a base mobility skill and default runes (basically cards or moves) and then build out a deck of moves that fits your preferred playstyle or given character. It feels really nice getting a stacked build and using it to clear battlefields with no injury. I enjoy the graphics and character designs - and although the roguelike progression map is relatively basic, the "meat on the bones" of turn based combat is really fun when you get into it. quickly became one of my favorite turn based games
