About
Solitaire Battle is a roguelike deckbuilder on a solitaire board where the cards you pick up let you attack, synergize, and slay fantastical opponents!
Pick up and draw cards to trigger your attacks and abilities, build decks with wild synergies, and face enemies who make you play solitaire in unique and strategic ways! As you gather skills, every card pickup will start a chain of effects that attack, power you up, and weaken your enemies.
Choose your hero and face those who would use solitaire for evil! Play as a dwarf who digs up cards to stun opponents, a knight who fills the board with shields to defend himself, or a monk who waits for the right moment to unleash a ceaseless combo of attacks! Defeat powerful bosses, like an immortal lich, a fearsome dragon, or… an unexpectedly dangerous chicken.

surprisingly addictive little game. it's exactly what it seems like, solitaire with rougelike elements. there's a pretty good sized cast of playable characters, enemies, and unlockables. all presented in cute pixel art with a plucky soundtrack. there are multiple difficulty levels and the achievements ("treasures") encourage you to try a variety of playstyles. runs are also relatively short unless you're going into endless. lovely little gem. if you're into card battlers, you'll enjoy this.
Surprisingly Addictive and Fast-Paced! **"**If you think Solitaire is just a slow, solo card game, Solitaire Battle will completely change your mind. It takes the classic gameplay everyone knows and turns it into a thrilling, fast-paced competitive experience. Matching up against real opponents in real-time adds a fantastic layer of tension and strategy. The matches are quick, smooth, and perfect for short gaming sessions. The progression system keeps you hooked, and climbing the ranks feels genuinely rewarding. It’s the perfect blend of casual nostalgia and competitive adrenaline. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quick, brain-teasing competitive fix!"

As someone who got into Tri-Peaks Solitaire through Pocket Card Jockey, man this game just sucked me in. I already put in 5 hours on the demo and have played probably at least 10 on earlier builds before it came to Steam. I have some minor gripes which I will list, but I don't think they're dealbreakers in the slightest. This is worth your money if you like Tri-Peaks Solitaire and roguelikes. Gripes: - I experience a decent amount of slow-down every time a round starts or ends. In isolation I don't mind, but it started to irk me after playing a really long run. My computer's a bit of a dinosaur, but I was surprised it was a problem here since the game doesn't seem like it should be that demanding. - Scaling is not particularly aggressive on Jack mode after beating the first run. I control the buttons I press, so I don't fault the game for this, but having unlocked few card types made it way easier to breeze through the game with a synergy, and I eventually had to quit my run around round 44 because it was basically impossible to lose. Could be a fun challenge to see how far you can get, but combined with the slowdown it was just tedious. - Enemy text: Why does the enemy's text overlap over my money earned for bonus stuff? (e.g; Bonuses for interest, beating a match in the first two turns, etc.) It's annoying. I wanna read why I got bonus points! (Though I do love the little one-off lines from the characters.) Okay now let's get back to the positives: - Cute art! It's got sort of a pixel art Windows XP vibe to it. Feels fitting for how much Solitaire has been included with Windows systems. - Ridiculously addictive -- as mentioned before, I have played for dozens of hours across the different versions and expect to play for dozens more. - Lots of different characters. The playable characters lend themselves well to trying different playstyles, and there's tons of challenging opponents. (I think there are some enemies that would only work as bosses, but a lot of the enemies you fight are playable characters.) Still need to unlock most of them but there's a bunch of characters you can play as! In conclusion: Good game!! I love you dev <3
