About
Solar Wave is a grand-scale space strategy game with indirect control, where economy, war, and expansion unfold across entire galaxies. The 21st millennium. Humanity’s Solar Empire has conquered the Milky Way and now turns its gaze toward a neighboring galaxy. New worlds are already inhabited but that will not halt mankind’s relentless expansion. As an imperial governor, you shape the fate of colonies, command vast fleets, and decide the outcome of wars that span the cosmos.
Make decisions on a galactic scale. Explore star systems, expand imperial borders, seize strategic territories, and plan for the long term. Solar Wave blends classic 4X foundations with a living, ever-changing universe.
There is no micromanagement here. You set objectives, not individual orders. Fleets act independently, adapting to threats and opportunities as they arise, turning command into pure strategy rather than mechanical execution.
A deep, interconnected economic model stands at the heart of the empire. Colonies extract resources, build production chains, and supply the war effort. Strong logistics and industry are the true weapons behind every victorious fleet.
Space warfare in Solar Wave is massive and unforgiving. Thousands of ships clash in spectacular battles where preparation matters more than reflexes. Victory is forged long before the first shots are fired.
Grand strategy with indirect control and no exhausting micromanagement
A living economy that directly fuels war and expansion
Massive space battles featuring thousands of ships
Striking visuals inspired by dark space opera
An atmospheric, memorable soundtrack
Take your place in humanity’s relentless march across the stars and experience the uncompromising future of the 21st millennium in Solar Wave.

Majesty, Distant Worlds 2, Against the Storm.

The game has a genuinely nice concept, and I especially like the indirect control of your fleets. There is a lot of potential here. The graphics are fine overall, although some of the weapon effects are a bit too bright and flashy. Unfortunately, the game does a very poor job of explaining itself. The tutorial barely explains anything. While fleets and buildings have descriptions, the game often fails to explain what a building actually does or why you would want it. Even when it tells you what a building produces, you are often left wondering what that resource or product is actually used for. My biggest problem, however, is the constant and completely unnecessary time pressure from mission objectives. There are usually many systems I would love to explore and colonize, but there is hardly any opportunity to do so because you are constantly chasing mission objectives. Even keeping up with those objectives is difficult because enemies attack almost nonstop and become stronger over time, while your resources are steadily running out. So you have time pressure from mission objectives, increasingly powerful enemy attacks, and resources becoming scarcer at the same time. On top of that, buildings become more expensive as the game progresses. And then there is research. Research points are extracted from planets, which eventually destroys them. This means you are dependent on expansion if you want to keep researching. And that brings you straight back to the original problem: expansion is too expensive, there is too little time, there are too many enemies, and your resources disappear too quickly. There is not even a proper overview showing how many resources you currently have in storage, so you often have no idea which resource is going to run out next. Why does the game punish the player so heavily for wanting to actually explore, expand, experiment and play with its mechanics? There is a really promising game hidden underneath all of this, and I genuinely like the basic concept. But right now, the balancing and constant pressure work against everything that could make the game enjoyable. In its current state, I cannot recommend it.
Needs some serious rebalancing. The AI just doomstacks tf out of you in the tutorial and you cant do anything about it.
abbastanza noioso e difficile come gioco
