About
The Boss is furious! A Rat in his crew tipped off the Feds and he is demanding blood. Now every pair of eyes in the room is looking for someone to blame and NO ONE is safe! As trust erodes and chaos erupts, the accusations fly and a split second decision could save you... or get you killed.
Expose the Rat and The Boss MIGHT spare your life. BUT... choose the wrong guy, trust the wrong voice, OR believe the wrong story and the Rat walks free... while you're left holding the body bags.
Punch, kick, stomp or grab whatever object happens to be laying around with an arsenal of melee weapons to choose from.
Sweep the building for bugs, load duffle bags with cash, guns, and drugs and get them to the van before the Feds kick the door in. One mistake and the whole operation can collapse.
The Boss is looking to make an example out of someone and the Rat is making sure it's you. Every second the Rat remains unexposed is a risk and every decision could be your last.
THE BOSS -
You're the top dog. Feared, obeyed, respected. You call the shots. Who lives, who dies, that's your business. But rage and betrayal can cloud even the sharpest of minds and you need to reclaim control fast. Pull the trigger, make the call and hope it's the right one because at the top, power is everything... until it's gone.
Wise Guy -
You're the muscles, the underdog, the backbone of this criminal organization, stashing contraband as the room spirals into chaos. Paranoia is a loaded gun and you have no rank to protect you, no glory to hide behind, and no power. Just bruised knuckles and the hard truth that one wrong move and you're suddenly the fall guy.
Rat -
You're the Rat. Sneaky, ruthless, manipulative. You move in plain sight and sow doubt with every step. While you're sabotaging, stealing contraband and bleeding the timer dry beware of triggering panic mode. Pass the blame and frame a fool... but get caught and you will be exposed for what you truly are.
FED -
You're not one of them. You're undercover, surrounded and outnumbered, but you signed up for this.
Gather evidence and build your case. Nobody knows you're the most dangerous in the room. But watch your back because if you get exposed, no one is coming to save you.

WHATTAYA HEAR WHATTAYA SAY
Opening settings in the main menu is bugged, leaving you unable to close out of it. Voice chat is incredibly inconsistent, it turns off and on. You can't hear anyone unless you have become a spectator or transitioning into the next game. The boss can shoot and re pick up the gun with no consequences. The game also runs quite hot for something that does not appear to be graphically demanding. Ryzen 5600x, 2060rtx. There's no real incentive to do anything but just kill- that is just the best way to go about winning. Instead of returning to lobby, the game just starts anew. You need to leave and remake the room to let new people in. The fundamentals need polishing. I hope see it being playable in the future as I feel like I tried this out way too early in development.
WISE GUYS is a multiplayer social deduction experience developed by StonieDude and published by Brokenworld Studios. Set within the chaotic world of organized crime, the game places players in the middle of a collapsing criminal operation where trust is scarce and betrayal is often the fastest path to survival. While the social deduction genre has become increasingly crowded over the years, WISE GUYS manages to stand apart by blending hidden-role mechanics with objective-based gameplay, physical interactions, and an atmosphere that constantly pushes players toward suspicion and confrontation. The premise immediately establishes tension. A criminal crew is attempting to cover its tracks before law enforcement arrives, but one member of the group secretly works against everyone else. Players must complete various tasks, secure evidence, and maintain order while simultaneously trying to identify the hidden traitor responsible for sabotage. Every action becomes open to interpretation. A player who appears to be helping the team may actually be manipulating events from the shadows, while someone acting suspiciously could simply be rushing to complete objectives before time runs out. Unlike many social deduction games that focus almost entirely on meetings and discussions, WISE GUYS keeps players active throughout the match. The gameplay constantly demands movement, interaction, and decision-making. Team members are expected to contribute to the operation by completing tasks and responding to emerging problems. This creates a more engaging flow because players are not simply waiting for discussion phases to occur. Instead, information is gathered naturally through observation, making accusations and suspicions feel more meaningful when they eventually arise. One of the game's most entertaining elements is its role structure. Different positions within the criminal organization come with unique responsibilities and advantages. The Boss serves as the central authority figure, responsible for making difficult judgments under pressure. Regular crew members focus on keeping the operation running smoothly, while the Rat works behind the scenes to create confusion and undermine progress. This asymmetrical design ensures that each role feels distinct and encourages players to approach matches from different perspectives. The inclusion of direct physical conflict gives WISE GUYS a personality all its own. Players are not limited to verbal arguments and voting systems. Fights can break out at any moment as tensions rise, with characters capable of attacking one another through exaggerated melee combat. This feature transforms ordinary disagreements into unpredictable confrontations that can completely change the course of a match. The physical interactions create memorable moments that often become the highlight of a session, particularly when suspicion turns into outright chaos. The game's visual style complements its mechanics remarkably well. Rather than pursuing realism, WISE GUYS embraces a colorful and stylized cartoon presentation. Character designs are expressive, animations are energetic, and the environments help maintain a playful tone even when betrayals and brawls dominate the action. This artistic direction allows the game to explore criminal themes without becoming excessively serious, creating an atmosphere that feels both competitive and humorous. Another strength is the sense of unpredictability generated during multiplayer sessions. No two matches play out exactly the same way because player behavior ultimately shapes the experience. Some games evolve into careful investigations filled with subtle deception, while others descend into complete mayhem as accusations fly and alliances collapse. The combination of social interaction and dynamic objectives ensures that each round develops its own unique narrative, giving the game considerable replay value. Communication plays a crucial role in determining success. Players must learn to read body language, evaluate behavior, and identify inconsistencies in explanations. Skilled Rats can manipulate conversations and redirect blame onto innocent players, while observant crew members can uncover deception through careful observation. These psychological elements create a level of tension that remains engaging throughout the match and reward players who pay close attention to their surroundings. As an Early Access project, WISE GUYS still has room for growth. Content variety is currently more limited than what players might expect from a fully completed release, and future updates are expected to introduce additional roles, maps, features, and gameplay systems. Some balancing adjustments and refinements may also be necessary as the community grows and new strategies emerge. Nevertheless, the existing foundation already demonstrates a strong understanding of what makes multiplayer social deduction games entertaining. What ultimately makes WISE GUYS successful is its willingness to combine several genres into a cohesive experience. It captures the paranoia and deception that fans expect from hidden-role games while introducing action-oriented mechanics that keep every participant involved. The mixture of teamwork, sabotage, combat, and psychological manipulation creates an environment where trust is constantly tested and every decision carries consequences. WISE GUYS may still be evolving, but it already delivers a highly entertaining multiplayer experience filled with memorable betrayals, dramatic confrontations, and unexpected twists. Its distinctive criminal setting, energetic presentation, and active gameplay systems help it stand out in a genre that often relies on familiar formulas. For players who enjoy social strategy games with a heavier emphasis on chaos and interaction, it offers plenty of reasons to gather a group of friends and dive into the mayhem. Rating: 8/10
