Hey guys, overall I can only recommend playing this lovely point and click adventure game. Let's have a look on the top features and on the features with some space for improvement. TOP: - graphic style of scenery - lot of retro feeling comes along when playing Sol 705 - funny and somehow exaggerated chars - puzzles not too hard and solveable by think, not much trial & error needed - official hint system - several hints included in gameplay (very funny) - ingenious story - overall humor in the game (dialogues, story) - Aliens and rock music? What else is needed??? Improvement potential: - dialogues sometimes confusing - voice over not always fitting to text With one eye on the things that could be improved I want to say, that this game ain't a triple A title and it is the first game from Space Indie Studios / Patricio Land. It was made with limited budget and therefore the result is great. Please keep that in mind when judging on this game. I really enjoy playing Sol 705 and I guess you also will ! This game was a HUGE let down. I know this game had huge ambitions, but I'm sorry selling a slightly different version of the beta game with some extra content for 10.99$ usd is not how you make a game. I noticed that some of the voice lines were reused more that once sometimes even in sentence who are not the right ones, I dunno if there was any problems with the voice actors or last minute changes in the dialogues but it gets even worse towards the end (hearing Meeno same stock laugh can get quite anoying at some point) The story (oh no), what happened to the story ? what happened to those characters with great personalities ? They became background characters. What happened to the plot of finding where the person in the diving gear went ? Gone, only the diving gear made it into the game. And by god what happened to the ending ? It stayed the same but with some extra steps. [SPOILERS... I guess] the game trailer features parts of the game ending. Why would you spoil your players with the trailer, there's no surprise at the end. But you know why the trailer doesn't look bad, because no one in their right mind would think THIS is the ending. And even when you play the game, IT STILL DOESN'T MAKE SENSE ??!! I'm honestly sorry if I sound rude, but this wasn't what I and prbly many other people expected. I loved the beta game its style, its humor, characters and even story. I was really hyped for the full game to come out and what do I get ? A game who feels more like a beta than the beta one. I never got sad about any games who weren't what they were hyped out to be, but this one was different. I had hopes for it, and seeing the ending credits after the final scene killed those last hopes for good. If I have any advise to give it's: finish your game, even if it takes years, even if it has to become a side project for you to make other games just remember that this game has a lot of story potential and you just need to use it to its fullest
This is an amazing journey through the eyes of a teenager in a small community in Argentina in the 70's. It's full of charm and very reminiscent of the classic point and click games from the early 90's. You can tell that its creator, Patricio Land, has spent hours and enjoyed all those LucasFilm/LucasArts adventures as a kid. So if you are like him, or like me, you're going to love this one. Patricio was able to create, single-handedly and with a very small budget, this very human and fun story that mixes rock and aliens, all in one place! The only downside is probably that it's way too short, so you are left wanting more. I personally can't wait for his new adventure. Maybe a sequel.. or a prequel? Either way, I'm sure it will be this much fun, if not more!
You can tell the amount of love and effort went into this game. A really solid first effort from the dev. While the game is a bit rough around the edges, it definitely shines with it's humour and the (super) crazy story. I only wish this game was a bit longer to explain some elements of the story better but I enjoyed it nevertheless.
YO JUGUE ESTE JUEGO LA DEMO Y LA VERDAD QUE ESTA BUENISIMO... ES UN JUEGO ARGENTINO A MAS NO PODER Y LO RECOMIENDO SIEMPRE
god
No, no, no, no, no. What a horrible excuse for a game. Badly designed first puzzle, subtitles didn't match the voice acting, dialogues were badly timed, missing voices, missing hotspot names, no volume setting for music... almost instant quit. Going to ask my money back, for sure.
reminds me of the classic point & click games like day of the tentacle and hey 2.39 euros is really not the world, give it a try erinnert mich an die klassischen point & klick games wie Day of the Tentacle und hey 2,39 Euro ist echt nicht die Welt, give it a try
Sol 705 is a really nice classic point-and-click adventure game. The game features some really nice art, especially in the backgrounds and the voice acting. The puzzles are pretty good and logical, and mostly rely on the classic mechanic of combining things in your inventory and using them to interact with the environment. There are a couple of times where the signposting could have been better so do expect to get stuck once or twice but it's not something that spoils the experience at all. The story gets a bit too chaotic for its own good towards the end, but it is still pretty funny and enjoyable. There are also a ton of cultural references to things that were part of daily life in Argentina (where the lead dev is from) back in the 80s and 90s. I'm not sure everyone will pick those up, but I really enjoyed seeing them in a game. The game should tale about 4hs to complete. I was a bit faster than that mostly because I played the demo and remembered a few things that are still in the game.
