SNIKS

Fun little puzzle game

SNIKS is an adorable little puzzle game. It has some of the extra elements you'd expect (slippery ice, portals) along with a few more, and does a great job exploring them. I was a little worried about the mobile-esque drag controls, but as you can drag out the whole path you want your snik to follow, it was very pleasant. Also, a couple of later levels felt easier than expected; perhaps I just lucked into the right assignment of sniks to fruit to make things work out. On the whole, though, well worth playing through. Contorting a tangle of sniks is just the right level of frustration I was looking for.

A pleasant and compact little puzzle game. The gameplay is fun, there was enough variety on the core concept and it had a level of difficulty that felt balanced. The music was nice too, but the sound effects/vocal noises got very grating after a while - luckily they can be turned off. If you're looking for something along the lines of Snakebird, this will do nicely.
