mediocre at all master of none
Easily the most UNDERRATED steam game of all time. its basically Mugen but with smash bros styled mechanics and its far easier than mugen to make a character. 10/10
This game is genuinely incredible. It doesn’t just copy the platform fighter formula—it builds on it in a way that feels both familiar and completely fresh at the same time. The gameplay instantly reminded me of MUGEN, except reimagined as a full-fledged platform fighter with tight mechanics, fast pacing, and a huge emphasis on player freedom. It captures that same sense of creativity and unpredictability while still feeling polished enough to take seriously. One of the biggest highlights is the movement system. The game includes mechanics like wavedashing, which immediately gives it a higher skill ceiling and makes movement feel incredibly fluid. For fans of competitive platform fighters, that alone adds so much depth to every match. The controls feel responsive, movement options are satisfying to learn, and there’s a strong sense that the game was made by people who truly understand what makes the genre fun. The workshop support is where the game really becomes something special. The amount of community-made content available is absurd in the best way possible. There are countless custom characters and stages to download, which means the experience never really gets old. It creates the same endless customization appeal that made MUGEN so memorable, except now it’s attached to an actual platform fighter framework that works extremely well online and offline. Speaking of online, the game handles workshop content surprisingly smoothly. If another player is using a custom character or stage you don’t already have installed, the game automatically downloads it for you during the character select screen. That small feature makes a massive difference because it removes all the usual hassle of syncing mods with friends before playing. Combined with the endless workshop content and strong gameplay mechanics, this easily becomes one of the best platform fighters out there for anyone who loves the genre.
The workshop never works for me
I LIKE THE COMBAT
sdfvbhm,
Smash Bros + Memes = Shut up and Take my money!
genuinly one of the best games i've ever played. last year i tried making a game like this and copletly failed so finaly having the game playable and ready (i was not aware of the existance last year) is a dream come true.
AMAZING GAME. Smack Studio is a great creative concept where you can create and edit characters and maps. You can also obtain Characters/Maps on its steam workshop, Personally I love the similarity to Nintendo's Smash Bros it's like the pc version. Another cool thing is the local multiplayer where if you happen to have zero friends/siblings you can add CPUS with various difficulties from 1-9. I haven't tried the online yet but I assume it is as good. As for price I think it's worth it one thing I recommend which I did was get the bundle with smack talk.
