I'm into pinball, and I suck at it
Still, I love playing pinball, whether it's on a real table or in a video game. Give the little boy a ball and he's happy. It may take him hours to realize what the game is all about, but he never stops playing. At least if he likes a table or a video game. In my mind's eye, I can already see the little boy playing Slot Shots Pinball Collection all night long.
Hello fellow players! Today I want to share with you my thoughts on the fun and addictive Slot Shots Pinball Collection game. As someone who loves pinball I have to say that this game is really fun. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2948613307 Let's talk about the graphics. The graphics in Slot Shots Pinball Collection are well presented. The game features a series of beautifully designed pinball tables that look like they came out of an arcade. Colors are bright and vibrant, and animations are smooth. The graphics will make you feel like you are playing a physical pinball machine. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2948615023 Now let's move on to the gameplay. Slot Shots Pinball Collection offers a variety of different tables to play, each with their own unique theme and game mechanics. The controls are easy to learn and intuitive, so even if you're new to pinball, you can get started and have fun right away. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2948613400 But what really makes Slot Shots Pinball Collection so much fun is the amount of content it has to offer. With 7 different tables to play at, each with their own unique challenges and objectives, you'll never run out of fun. Overall, I would recommend Slot Shots Pinball Collection to anyone who loves pinball or just wants to play a fun and addicting game. The graphics are well designed, the gameplay is challenging and there is enough content here to keep you entertained for hours. So what are you waiting for? Try it
Slot Shots Pinball Collection from the gang at Pinblend Studios is a delightful re-visitation to some of my early digital pinball vibes. While this title is still in Early Access (making is debut June 21st of this year) the development of this collection looks very polished to say the least (Bass Hunter blew me away). This collection has a total of 7 tables Dream World, Slot Shots Casino, The Kraken's Cove, Super Vixel Land, Bass Hunter, Neon Nights 2 Skylines, and Outergalactic Aliens Deluxe (at the time of this Early Access review) and will offer any players a wide gambit of fun and opportunity. Each table is uniquely inviting, offering some very creative design and vibrant graphics, the tables themselves (some are re-imagined from prior released tables - Outergalactic Aliens and Neon Nights are making a new round in this collection and all the tables provide me with a fair amount of nostalgia as they remind me of that of early development of digital pinball play. At the time of this writing the collection has a total of 35 Steam Achievements, which will also add another dimension to the fun. Again this is still not finalized yet (as it is in Early Access still) so things may change, but I have played some of the previous offerings from Pinblend Studios and they seem to be really stepping up their game with this release. Something else I feel needs to be said, Pinblend Studios is very responsive to their community when issue arise, so if you pick this up and you do find issues, let the team know, so why not support another great indie development team. Cheers all and great gaming - Darkendone{LDH}
Slot Shots Pinball Collection (SSPBC) is a selection of six very creative pinball tables with some really fun, and even original gameplay. If anything, SSPBC makes gameplay almost too easy, the result being some really long games allowing a higher than typical number of each table’s gameplay features to be part of each game. (I think my favorite table is Bass Hunter, and the name alone is an indication of how much fun is built into each table.) After having taken a fairly long break from Steam pinball, Slot Shots Pinball Collection is a very memorable way to get back to what I consider the “Sport of Kings…Kings at a bar down the street from the castle.” While SSPBC is a really fun pinball offering, it still has a way to go to justify long-term player commitment. There is no portrait mode, and that makes it perhaps the only serious pinball contender on Steam to be lacking. There are also some very unique peculiarities involved with leaderboards. Apparently, a player has to request a score upload, and can only view leaderboards once each session, and only after jumping through some additional hoops. Hopefully this will become more standardized quickly, as what is realtime “competition with all the world” is one of pinball’s greatest attractions. Not unexpectedly for a new pinball game, the physics needs some fine tuning. I once saw the ball go through the tip of a flipper, and there is an annoying acceleration that effects the ball at times. (It’s so minor that a non-playing viewer might not even notice it. But when it happens on a flipper it can make a difference.) Still, if there is a pinball game on Steam that has not had to deal with such issues early on. I’ve yet to see it. And the attentiveness of the developer is already a strong indication that developer commitment is not lacking. Surely one of the most reassuring features of any new game. In summary, Slot Shots Pinball Collection is a Steam pinball offering that seems to have more potential than many. It’s already VERY playable and can only get better, and is offered at a fair price. This is just a Q&D review of Slot Shots Pinball Collection after my first few hours of playing. Regrettably, having received this as a fully paid gift purchased from Steam by a Steam friend, this positive review will NOT count toward the rating generated by the first 10 reviews. Steam Support recognizes the unfairness of this, but basically says that this issue won’t be corrected because Steam management does not care. (Gift games on Steam are assigned a “key” designation, same as when obtained free by developer key, which means Steam does not recognize the profit they received from this, or any gift copy of any Steam game.) Thank you.
EA Pinball + several themes + fairly polished = Sleek and retro experience. Almost as good as playing at the arcade. Score points/bonuses with flashing lights, loops and lanes. More to come. Is it worth it as a casual player? Short answer: No! As a pinhead though... 7 tables and a new digital experience for 12:49€. I would say I am still more impressed by Revenge of the Gator on original Gameboy for the experience. The pysics are ok, but compared to example Zaccaria which I would place #2 after FX on the casual players choice, there is no comparisson to the top tier competitors on the market. With the negativity over.. I sincerly hope this will just grow as an experience as it definitley has the spark and could become the flame. Reminds me of the pinball game in Windows.. and I mean, I played that for soooo many hours.. Just something a tad off with the feeling to make this something great. ..and despite my negative approach I still give it a solid recommend. Fingers crossed lads!
I agree with all the positive comments here. The one thing that will relegate this arcade to least played in my collection is the crappy high score system. When I boot into Pinball FX, I can instantly see my scores on all the tables. Why not? The score is the point, helps you decide what to play on the night. Having to take screenshots of your scores is ridiculous. Shame. The tables are really good. I won't be playing them often, however.
A nice indie take on a pinball collection with the biggest twist being all of the tables include a slot machine mechanic as well. There is already a sequel set to release later this year (not sure if all new tables or some new and some of these tables remastered as they did in this release with some previously released pinball tables before this collection came about).
When it comes to games on Steam, this is upper-echelon Pinball. Here's a quick rundown: Good: Great presentation/package overall. Tons of setting/customization options ( video settings, audio, etc...) Music, SFX, Announcers & Sound quality in general is top notch. 4 camera options for every table Online leaderboards & achievements Some tables feature alternate game modes All tables have a good flow to them, feel distinct from one another and feature some wicked gimmicks. Bad: In-Game LCD/DMD could use some love. Can't rebind controls. Really nitpicky, but I would prefer the settings menu to have dropdowns instead of cyclical options. TLDR: This is a no brainer purchase for any pinball enthusiast. I rank it among the best pinball games on the market and is great value for the price, especially when on sale.
Honestly its just nice playing simple machines that doesn't require to much work such as, FX3. Some of these tables remind me of some of the ones i used to play growing up.
