About
You're on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess.
You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.
She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Don't forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders.
You're not going to listen to him, are you? We're supposed to save princesses, not slay them...
Features
Fully voice-acted by the impeccable Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight.
Hand-penciled art - every background and sprite is drawn traditionally with pencil and paper by Ignatz-winning graphic novelist Abby Howard.
A princess. She's very bad and you have to get rid of her for all our sakes.
No, the Princess isn't a “cosmic horror,” whatever that is supposed to mean. She's just an ordinary human Princess, and you can definitely slay her as long as you put your mind to it.
Don't even think about trying to romance her. It won't end well for you.
Hopefully you won't die. But if you do, you'll die a lot. Be careful and stay focused on the task at hand!
A branching narrative where what you say and what you believe determines both who you are and how the story unfolds. Though I wouldn’t recommend taking any paths outside of the one I lay before you.
A new roleplaying experience from the creators of Scarlet Hollow.
Slay the Princess is a choice-driven psychological horror visual novel/dating sim with dramatic branching, light RPG elements, and hand-penciled art.

Reviews
This game has a very good story and the voice acting is perfect but sadly its not for me but I do recommend it for others that like story telling visual horror games and don't like to read because all of the lines have voices.
some of the most beautiful storytelling I've ever experienced in a video game
Naprawdę rozbudowana sieć zakończeń i osiągnięć
This ♥♥♥♥ manipulating me
遇到了十分严重的BUG,这游戏有声音吗,背景音乐和语音均无声音,机器朗读倒是有声音,太诡异了

So many stories, so many paths, so many things to figure out and none of it is laid out so clear! Prepare to spend hours on this, if it hooks you it'll drag you into it's depths and you'll never want to leave until you found everything! Walk the path to it's end. Keep tissues close, tears are a risk.
Overhyped visual novel that's basically a bunko artist shell game. Repetitive gameplay. Lack of depth. Tedious characters who are all basically the same. I really thought this was going to be an interesting psychological examination of character. Or at least some truly scary scenes. I started out as someone absolutely committed to not slaying the princess, because that's just the kind of person I am. Good way to test the limits of the game and see how it handles a committed moral stance. It didn't take long for me to clue into the game's "secret," and from there it was all downhill. The game failed to convince me of anything at all. I found myself not caring about the world, the princess, or any of the other NPCs. At the end the gameplay got so repetitive I was fast forwarding through the jibber jabber to get to the next rest stop. Not exactly the experience that makes me want to replay the game, or care about getting all the achievements. Total waste of money. I'm glad I got it on discount.
I hesitated for a long time before buying this game. I don't like horrors at all, not horror games, movies, or even books. Jump scares are the worst, but even the constant tension in most horror stories usually isn't enjoyable for me. On the other hand, I absolutely love dark fantasy and stories that explore violence, despair, depression, and difficult choices. I also appreciate stories that aren't afraid of tragic or bittersweet endings instead of forcing everything into a happy ending. This game completely exceeded my expectations. First of all: despite its reputation, I wouldn't call it a traditional horror game. There are no cheap jump scares, and while it can be tense, it feels much closer to a psychological thriller than a typical horror experience. The atmosphere comes from uncertainty, not from trying to scare you every few minutes. I started completely blind, without reading reviews or watching videos, and I think that was the best possible decision. For most of the game you're desperately searching for the "right" answer. You don't know who to trust, all sides seem to have their own agenda, and every choice has immediate consequences. At the same time, you have no idea where any of those choices will eventually lead. I can't recommend enough that you avoid spoilers if you decide to play. My first playthrough took about 6 hours, and by the end I knew I had experienced something special. The writing, art, voice acting, and branching story are all fantastic, and the game constantly surprises you without ever making your choices feel meaningless. After finishing, I immediately started looking up guides and discussions, and now I'm planning to spend another 40+ hours exploring all the different routes. I've never felt this motivated to see every possible path in a visual novel before. One of the best narrative games I've ever played, and an easy recommendation for anyone who enjoys dark fantasy, psychological stories, and games that trust the player to think for themselves.
