About
In the Void, blood is cheap, but Bones are the only currency that matters. Violence rewards you with the remains of the fallen, and the faster your clearence, the richer the harvest. Return your spoils to the Astrarium to trade with the Smith, the Huntress, and the Twins to unlock the sacred instruments of slaughter.
Carve through packed enemies in wide, bloody sweeps, crush anything in your path with brutal forward charges. Hook into prey and drag yourself straight into the kill before the first body hits the floor.
Secondary weapons let you kill beyond arm’s reach, while relics change what your body can do: stronger kicks, reflected shots, explosive force, and second chances when the Void should have taken you.
The right build does not just help you survive - it lets you reach maximum slaughter.
You die in one hit. Most things you fight do too. The difference is who reaches the killing blow first. Stack kills quickly enough and your speed condenses into momentum, a sliver of grace that eats the next fatal blow for you. Lose it, and you are back to the same fragile thing the enemies are. However, as long as your style and execution is flawless the gods won't let you die and you can truly be INVINCIBLE.

Fast paced, bloody action with some beautiful pixel art. Punishingly hard in the way that makes you want to try it over and over and over again. Incredible first game from this studio.
This has progressed SO MUCH since the demo. The lore and flavor is great, and I appreciate all the new weapons. I'm still bad at it, though.
Perfect way to relax after a long day at the Skull Factory. Art is good, music is great. Gameplay follows that rhythm. If you're a fan of Hotline or similar styles, it's definitely a good pick up.

A fast-paced action game were success is a combination of memorization and pure instinct. The scoring system is built entirely around speed-running. Choosing different weapons, powers, and routes maximize speed and efficiency has a certain appeal.
J'ai adorer j'aurais aimais plus de contenue mais franchement prenant je recommande vivement !!
Кайфова гра, рекомендую!
totally worth the asking price. though short, it delivers on the promised adrenaline rush and gives players a varied set of weapons and tools to figure out which combination slaughters demons best for you. the smartest decision made in this game is having your combo increase your move speed as it goes higher and higher. once you build that momentum you feel unstoppable, until you step in acid like I always did lol. and while you can still finish the level with the help of a shield, you will want to replay the level to get the maximum combo and the best time possible.
Developed by Dread Night and published by Hyperstrange, Slaughter Void is a fast-paced action game that fully embraces brutal combat, old-school design philosophies, and a dark fantasy atmosphere wrapped in a striking retro presentation. Rather than relying on lengthy storytelling or cinematic sequences, it throws players directly into a hostile world where survival depends entirely on skill, timing, and relentless aggression. Every level is carefully designed to challenge reflexes while encouraging players to learn enemy behavior, improve their execution, and push deeper into the corrupted realm known as the Void. Its straightforward premise is elevated by an uncompromising gameplay loop that rewards mastery instead of simply offering incremental progression. Combat is the undeniable centerpiece of the experience. Slaughter Void combines swift melee attacks with powerful movement abilities, ranged weapons, and magical relics that constantly encourage offensive play. The inclusion of grappling mechanics allows players to launch themselves toward enemies instead of waiting for combat to come to them, maintaining an aggressive rhythm throughout every encounter. Unlockable weapons and relics provide meaningful variety by altering how battles unfold, allowing players to discover combinations that best complement their preferred fighting style. Between expeditions, Bones collected from defeated enemies become the primary currency for unlocking new equipment and permanent improvements through the Astrarium, giving every successful run lasting value without diminishing the importance of player skill. One of the game's most distinctive mechanics is its commitment to one-hit combat. Nearly every mistake can result in instant death, but this high-risk system is balanced through a momentum mechanic that rewards flawless performance. As players continuously eliminate enemies without interruption, they build momentum that temporarily protects them from otherwise fatal attacks. This creates an exhilarating balance between offense and defense, where maintaining pressure is often the safest strategy. Instead of slowing down to avoid danger, players are encouraged to stay aggressive, chaining kills together while carefully managing positioning and awareness. The result is an intense gameplay flow that remains consistently engaging and makes every successful run feel genuinely earned. The presentation complements the gameplay exceptionally well. Its pixel art style captures the spirit of classic action games while adding modern visual polish through fluid animations, atmospheric environments, and satisfyingly exaggerated gore effects. The grim fantasy setting is populated by cultists, undead horrors, beastmen, and other grotesque enemies that reinforce the game's heavy metal-inspired identity. Every location feels hostile, and the visual effects generated during combat make each encounter feel impactful without sacrificing readability. The soundtrack further enhances the relentless pace, delivering an energetic backdrop that matches the constant action and amplifies the tension throughout each battle. Replayability is another strong aspect of Slaughter Void. While its environments are handcrafted rather than procedurally generated, the wide selection of unlockable gear, relic combinations, and combat strategies encourages repeated playthroughs. Players seeking faster completion times, higher Bone collections, or cleaner combat performance will find plenty of incentive to revisit previously conquered areas. Steam Achievements and leaderboard support further reinforce the game's competitive appeal, rewarding dedication and mechanical improvement instead of simple time investment. This focus on refining player ability gives the game lasting appeal, especially for fans who enjoy mastering demanding action titles. Despite its strengths, Slaughter Void is not designed for everyone. Its unforgiving difficulty and one-hit-kill philosophy leave very little room for error, making the learning process challenging for newcomers. Players looking for a story-driven adventure or a more forgiving progression system may find its demanding nature discouraging. However, those who appreciate precision-based combat and enjoy overcoming difficult gameplay through practice will likely find the challenge rewarding rather than frustrating. The game remains focused on rewarding execution over accessibility, and it rarely compromises that vision. Slaughter Void succeeds by remaining true to its core identity. Every gameplay system, progression mechanic, and visual choice serves the goal of delivering a fast, brutal, and satisfying action experience built around skillful play. Its combination of fluid combat, meaningful progression, stylish retro visuals, and relentless pacing creates a memorable experience that stands apart from many modern action games. Although its difficulty may limit its appeal to a broader audience, players who enjoy high-intensity hack-and-slash combat with a strong emphasis on mastery will find plenty to admire. Dread Night and Hyperstrange have created a focused and confident action title that rewards commitment, precision, and persistence. Rating: 8/10
