this game would be be so cool if it didn't suck so bad. the music is great. damned near perfect for what it could have been. it would be so muchfun for a metalhead such as myself, but the gameplay just poops all over it. it's really quite sad. it's not a retroidvania. it's a pile of lukewarm PBR vomit. on paper it all works as a retro sidescroller. in practice, your toon decides to autorun at random points. just naruto running toward hazards you've been inching closer to because you've died SO MANY TIMES trying to avoid them. like 90 seconds in. i feel like this is a lazy way to try and make the game 'souls-like' and i honestly wish the dev never got what little money i paid for it in a bundle years ago. the soundtrack is pretty killer though, so i'm not gonna lament being unable to give it no stars. i'll be skipping the sequel and anything else this dev does.

Esse jogo pegou a fórmula basica dos consoles antigos: poucas fases mas você vai suar sangue pra terminá-las. Tomei gap da primeira fase até a última, não morria tantas vezes em tão pouco tempo desde Celeste. O jogo tem uma identidade única, pega um sci-fi clássicão e junta com um pouco de mitologia e funciona incrivelmente. Gameplay travadona propositalmente por ser nesse molde clássico, então exige uma determinção absurda pra terminar o jogo com tantos obstáculos. Não tem várias armas, não tem upgrades, não tem level up, não tem mapa, não é metroidvania. Você começa a fase e vai até o final se o teu cérebro não tiver um aneurisma no processo. Dito isso: 10/10 Só esperar o 2.

No es mal juego, pasable, como leí de algunas personas, no es difícil es algo frustrante, tiene ciertos problemas con la jugabilidad y los combates, así que vas a morir mucho, me recuerda a algunos juegos de los 90-2000 que para atacar era sólo con 2 botones y con eso tenías que pasar todo el juego, de resto era tener paciencia y saber cuándo atacar, pero a la final lo logras, para ser el primer juego del estudio es un buen inicio, luego hicieron Valfaris y ahí si mejoraron. Y en el 2026 llega Slain 2, así que ni tan mal le fue al juego. Si te gustan los juegos de este género puedes comprarlo. El juego está sólo en inglés. PD: si quieres ganar el logro, "Hail the Great Horned Metal God!", tienes que hacer "Headbang" justo después de matar al jefe, te lo indican cuando se pueda hacer, porque si después de matar al jefe te mueves, lo pierdes, y ya no podrás tener el logro.
