Skystead Ranch

Adorable creature collector farming sim game. I have only played for a bit but so far my experience has been great. I love that you can learn about the creatures through interactions and caring for them. You could also take their pictures at different stages and it will be stored in your guide book. It takes some time to get used to the controls but nothing too difficult. Some mechanics of the game, I feel, is refreshing like how you can clear objects from a distance and it tells you how many hits it takes to destroy the object. Also, no need to water crops - that usually waste a lot of time in game. Music is relaxing. Currency in game is easy enough to earn and the items are not expensive. At this point of my game, it is not grindy and I hope it stays that way.

El diseño artístico, aunque visualmente atractivo, tiene un aire notablemente infantil. Las animaciones son caricaturescas, y el uso de colores saturados y personajes adorables parece orientado a un público más joven. Esto no es necesariamente algo negativo, pero puede desalentar a jugadores que busquen una experiencia más madura o compleja. En cuanto a la jugabilidad, Skystead Ranch cumple con los elementos básicos de un simulador de granja: cultivar, criar criaturas y comerciar con otros rancheros celestiales. Sin embargo, no aporta muchas innovaciones al género. Si has jugado otros títulos como Stardew Valley o Harvest Moon, notarás que la profundidad en las mecánicas es menor aquí. Lo positivo: Es un juego relajante, ideal para desconectarte un rato. La crianza de criaturas mágicas tiene su encanto y agrega un elemento de fantasía único. El ambiente y la música son muy amigables y agradables. Lo negativo: Las mecánicas pueden sentirse demasiado simples, especialmente para jugadores experimentados. El tono infantil puede limitar su atractivo. No hay una gran variedad de contenido que motive a seguir jugando por largas sesiones. Conclusión: Skystead Ranch es una opción entretenida para quienes buscan algo ligero y visualmente adorable. Sin embargo, si prefieres desafíos más profundos o un tono más maduro, puede que este título no sea para ti. Honestly I see this game becoming a hidden gem (well hopefully not so hidden) after it irons out the growing pains. Most of the problems you see are currently being addressed which i'm pretty excited for.

A little bit buggy but it's very fun so far. I very much enjoy the build it at your own pace, and there's a lot to be explored considering it's only been out a week. Annoying bugs- The house, once unlocked, doesn't function for me. The door starts to open then stops. The mine deletes buildings and plants upon leaving/re entering 40% of the time. After the third time re entering the mine, i could no longer see any progression on any of the skylets, even after restarting the game.

After 26 hours and many changes by the Devs, I can say, it's coming along nicely. Controls take a bit to get used to, but the magical crook gives the option to toggle now, so life is easier. The Skylets are super cute, it's a challenge to meet all their - partly contradicting needs - the magical field guide is hilarious at times, pretty cheeky. Graphics are simple, yet appealing to me. Gameplay is easy to understand: farm, feed, decorate, fish - haven't tried cooking yet - upgrade, build. To then bite fingernails and decide which Skylet needs to go, so the rest has harmony and can develop to its fullest. The game still needs a bit of ironing - e.g. Skylet protest camps block entry to some areas... haven't tried the solution yet to set up a cactus flytrap, they claim to gobble up skylets.... - you can upgrade but not enter the house. It's hard to get enough stones quickly in the main building phase - these are my only gripes. So, I recommend this game wholly, it's worth the price and made by devs who really love their game and take neverending efforts to squash bugs, it shows. They even created a new Skylet to apologise for the rocky start, amazing!

I was given a free steam key for this game for a fair and honest review. I have found the game to be relaxing and refreshing. It is a chill game that you can enjoy at any time of the day. I look forward to creating more content for this game.

Haven't had chance to play a lot of the game yet, but so far so good! My only complaint is the camera angle is facing downwards on the player. Excited to see how this develops:))

This game is very cute It's very much a Creature Collector but you are changing the biomes of each area to attract new creatures I liked that a lot There are some bugs right now but hopefully they get those fixed The one these I did not like was the camera Took some getting use to the controls for it, interesting and not what i'm used to. The camera reminded me of Guild Wars 2. I did have to up the sensitivity cause moving the camera around made the game feel clunky. Once I had that upped. It was very easy to move around, except when using tools. The way the camera works while using a tool is very much like playing Luigis Mansion.

This is an adorable creature collector, with farming, fishing and cooking. If you like games like Animal Crossing, chances are you'll like this game too, especially if one of your favourite animal crossing feature was the critterpedia. I love this game, it has a lot of potential and is clearly a labour of love from the developers. It's actively being updated and developed, so there are currently bugs and a few features missing but the developers are fixing bugs and adding new features. I'll update my review as the game develops but I definitely recommend this game
