About
You are the CEO. Starting with a handful of biplanes and a dream, build a globe-spanning airline across five historical eras — from the propeller age of 1930 to the Green Frontier of sustainable flight, with open-ended late-game play that reaches 2095. Open routes, buy and lease aircraft, configure cabin classes, invest in airports, hire executives, and crush your rivals — all while history unfolds around you.
SkyChart: Airline Executive is a deep management simulation inspired by the classic Aerobiz series, rebuilt from the ground up with modern design, a retro-neon aesthetic, and systems deep enough to lose a weekend in.

Play through five distinct chapters of airline history, each with unique aircraft, economics, and challenges:
Dawn of Flight (1930–1950) — Biplanes, flying boats, and the shadow of World War II. Connect the continents before the world tears itself apart.
The Jet Age (1955–1975) — The Bering 707 rewrites everything. Dominate the transatlantic corridor and race your rivals across the globe.
The Modern Era (1980–2000) — Deregulation, oil crises, and cutthroat competition. Only the efficient survive.
Supersonic Future (2000–2020) — Ultra-long-haul routes, mega-hubs, and the A380 age. Build an empire that spans every continent — then survive COVID.
The Green Frontier (2025–2040) — Sustainable aviation arrives. Hydrogen and electric aircraft, carbon offsets, and the race to decarbonize reshape the economics of every route.
Each era must be conquered before the next unlocks. Prove you can survive the prop age before you earn the jets — and when you win the Green Frontier, open-ended late-game play keeps flying all the way to 2095.
From New York to Nairobi, Tokyo to Timbuktu — 533 cities across 7 world regions with real airport locations, population-driven demand, tourist appeal, and regional diplomacy that gates your expansion. Invest in hotels, theme parks, and infrastructure to boost demand. Upgrade airport hubs to dominate entire regions.
Fly the planes that made history — and the ones that will. 201 aircraft span the DC-3, Pacifica Skystar, Bering 707, 747, Concordia, Skybus A380, Bering 787, and on into speculative hydrogen, electric, and supersonic designs reaching 2095 — each with stats, retirement dates, and operating costs. Aircraft age realistically: old planes cost more to run, draw fewer passengers, and depreciate on a real curve. Order new-build aircraft on a realistic 1-9 month delivery backlog, lease for instant service, or store surplus frames in your hangar.
Configure every route's seat mix: Economy, Premium Economy, Business, or First. Higher classes occupy more cabin space but earn 1.6×-4× the fare. Class availability is era-gated — First Class reappears in 1955, Business in 1960, Premium Economy in 1992 — so strategy shifts as decades pass. Six one-click templates (All Economy, Budget, Regional, Legacy, Premium, Luxury) or hand-tune per route with the stepper UI. AI rivals pick strategies too and stick to them.
A Ventusky-style weather map with animated storm cells (tropical round-with-eye, extratropical comma-heads), jet streams, pressure isobars, and cloud shading. Storms drift on prevailing winds — westerlies mid-latitude, trade easterlies in the tropics — and seed from real IBTrACS cyclone data. Route paths dynamically deviate around severe weather at FAA-style distances, and your airplanes' animated tracks update every 8 seconds as storms move.
Every aircraft decision matters. Buy planes outright and build equity, or lease them to preserve cash with flexible 1-year, 3-year, or 5-year terms. Store surplus aircraft in your hangar for reuse. Refurbish aging fleets to extend their service life. Sell at depreciated market value when it's time to move on. Your rivals make these same calculations.
Up to 35 AI-controlled airlines compete for the same routes, slots, and passengers. Each picks one of four cabin strategies — Budget (all-economy), Regional (light premium), Legacy (full four-class), or Premium (first-heavy) — and sticks to it, so the competitive landscape feels distinct. They price dynamically, expand into your territory, upgrade their fleets, and invest in hubs. Once per era, you can buy out a rival entirely — absorbing their routes, slots, and infrastructure in one stroke. Ghost carriers from your past campaigns can even return to haunt the map.
60+ scripted historical events and World Mega-Events reshape the playing field, and a WorldSeed system perturbs them so no two campaigns play out the same. The Great Depression tanks demand. WWII closes entire regions. The 1973 oil crisis doubles fuel prices overnight. 9/11 grounds the industry. COVID-19 kills 93% of passenger demand (but cargo barely flinches). Earthquakes destroy airports. Volcanic ash clouds close European airspace. You adapt or you fold.
Every route's profit is calculated monthly from population, regional economics, seasonal demand, your reputation, competitor pricing, hub bonuses, diplomatic relations, fuel costs, aircraft condition, cabin mix, transfer passenger flows, and executive team bonuses. The Strategic Advisor scans all 141,778 possible city pairs (threaded, non-blocking) to find your best opportunities. Quarterly reports track every dollar.
Passengers — Fill seats. Maximize yield per passenger. The classic airline business.
Cargo — Move freight. Win on price and reliability. Cargo barely flinches during pandemics.
Combined — Passengers in the cabin, freight in the belly. Two revenue streams, one fleet.
Each mode unlocks after mastering the previous one.
From Glider (generous capital, slow rivals) to Supersonic (lean budget, aggressive AI, punishing interest rates). Five finely tuned tiers so new players can learn the ropes and veterans can suffer.
Beyond the campaign, take on 12 hand-crafted scenarios with specific goals and starting conditions — Hub vs Point-to-Point, the A380 Launch, the Fuel Crisis, COVID Recovery, the Asian Tiger Boom, the Emirates Era, and more, plus seasonal challenges. Flip on optional Realism Mode for country-by-country licensing, 7th-freedom and cabotage gates, an MRO parts inventory, fuel hedging, and a COVID recovery arc — a harder, more grounded simulation for veterans.
Completed your first era? Unlock Sandbox. No bankruptcy. No era limits. No time pressure. Pick a starting decade and build forever.
Design your airline's identity with a full livery editor — base, accent, and trim colors, zone overrides, and four patterns (solid, stripe, swoop, split) that render on every aircraft on the map. AI rivals get procedurally generated liveries too. Reskin the whole game with 8 built-in UI themes (Sunset, Midnight Cockpit, Daylight, Forest Cabin, Pure Charts B&W, Aurora Borealis, Tropical Routes, Film Noir), and capture your network in Photo Mode with per-era recap cards.
Win an era and bank Legacy Points toward permanent unlocks. Your operator earns cross-campaign XP, founders get generated bios and a career-timeline panel, and monthly Casey Cup leaderboards auto-submit your best runs. A pull-only community events feed keeps the world fresh between updates.

I have played the original Aerobiz game and every major airline simulation on PC and mobile that has come out. This is definitely the overall best one in terms of scope and important features. The Important Part, this is a fantastic game, if you want to run an airline this game is for you. The cool feature is that you can start in 1930, anywhere in the world you want to start in and keep it going all the way through the era's. Historical events do happen and so sometimes you find yourself with a bump from the olympics or having to survive through a tough time like the depression. You have a seriously impressive airline catalog (having all these models available that i had previously no idea that existed is super cool historically speaking) that unlocks with the years and many business options to fund your airline from an IPO to bank loans and bonds. Your can revenue from passenger flights, cargo, charter, contracts and even the occasional government subsidy, you have competition and that does increase in carriers as the years go by. Various options to customize gameplay The game is dynamic with weather, historical events and competition. The developer is an indie developer that is highly engaging with the community and has built this game to have depth and replay value. While I only have 8 hours I enjoyed all the gametime and will continue to play in the near future, At the moment life has me not being able to play as much as I would like. If you love airline sims and want to be CEO of the skys this title is for you.

I spent a bit of time with Skychart: Airline Executive and still felt like I was only scratching the surface with the mechanics. But it was fun watching my tentacle-like routes sprawl and grow, racing for the big profitable cities, and pushing competitors out. SkyChart is a very involved management sim that's as simple or complex as you want it to be. Filled with complex functions (some a little obtuse) but you can elect to auto-manage some. It's moreish.
