SKIP

Disclaimer: I received the game for free and the main developer is a personal friend. That being said, I will try to be as unbiased as possible. A short game that encourages independent exploration. SKIP completely immerses you in an unknown environment right away, even from the game menu, by giving you no context to your situation and with signs in an alien language that would probably help you, if only you could understand it!! At no point are you directed in how you could solve whatever it is you need to solve, but relies on one's curiosity to start working out things yourself and rewards you for doing so with hints of what's going on. That being said, I felt that once you get over the main hurdle, progression is pretty straight forward and your next steps are relatively obvious. Few puzzles the short game has are clever. Environment and ambience music are fitting and good. TL:DR Well worth the very low asking price, a great one-off puzzle game to challenge yourself with.

I'm not done yet so I'll update my review later on. However a friend and I bought the game out of pure curiosity while not expecting much and thought it was a lot of fun. You'll probably need some paper and a pen to write some stuff down and the puzzles aren't out of this world but I certainly appreciated playing a game that doesn't hold my hand.
