About

Skillshot City (aka Skill Shot City) is a PvP Roguelike / Battle Royale. You fight in a chaotic city to win loot and outlevel other players. Whenever you level up you'll see 2 random skills, and by spotting clever combos in real time, you can try to create the most broken build possible. Then use your build to outplay others and become the last man standing.
Unlike other battle royales, there are no queues or downtime. If you die you can still keep playing. You'll respawn in a "zombie mode" that lets you keep looting and leveling up outside the circle. And if you manage to win enough hearts, you can revive for a last second comeback! Play solos, duos, or trios with friends and climb the ranks!

Fight for skill points to level up fast. Each level up gives you a choice of 2 randomly generated skills. Do you take Invisibility or Bouncing Bullets? Teleportation or Regeneration?
Like a roguelite this makes every match play different. You need to think on your feet to combo skills together and create the most broken build possible before the final showdown!
Unlock new abilities between matches. There are over 100 unique skills, classes, and round modifers to unlock. Once unlocked you can equip skills to your build to make them appear more often in-game. Join the community to theorycraft thousands of possible skill combos!

Inspired by MOBAs, the faster you farm the stronger you become. You can do missions, win supply drops, fight gangs, explore for rare loot, and if you're feeling risky - aggro the cops.
But remember, the circle is shrinking and death will set you back a lot. You have to balance risk with reward to level up as much as possible while still surviving to the final showdown.

While other BRs have one long round, Skillshot City has 3 ultra-fast rounds - with a high-stakes showdown every 5 minutes. The winners of rounds 1 and 2 get to choose unique modifiers that affect the rest of the match, and the winner of round 3 wins the game!
Your skill build progresses from round to round, and if you die you can keep playing too. You'll play as a zombie and can loot for the next round - or hunt down a survivor to revive. No queueing time, no getting booted to the main menu, just pure refined non-stop action.
A singleplayer / coop survival mode with leaderboards and custom difficulty modifiers
Choose from 8 classes, each with a unique playstyle and strategy
Design skill builds that adjust the pool of skills you'll choose from in-game
Crazy challenges, groovy cosmetics, and stats tracking to show off your favorite skills
Small download (under 1GB) and instant join times mean you can start playing in minutes!

Won my first match, retiring on top. Trying to grow the player base the devs tossed the game up for free. I rarely do multiplayer and had never done a "battle royale" so I figured why not. The game plays clean enough and has that GTA2 top-down vibe. But if I'm being honest I had no idea what was going on. There was a bunch of unlocks, money, mana, tech tree, skills, weapons and all this other weird collectable stuff going on. Then some weird gameplay stuff like demon zombie second chances and it kept telling me to press C to release chemicals for some reason. I really didn't know what was going on. But I grabbed guns and left everything dead in my wake. The rounds are ultra short but there was some sort of scoring system in place over many rounds. And I won apparently. Walking away the champ. AMA. Fun freebie, why not. Recommended.
Ladies and gentlemen. Listen. I got a thousand hours now. And in all that playtime I have many things I'd like to say about this game. For a start, this has been one of the most fun games I've ever played and 80% of the community is awesome and super friendly. This game has, and has had its ups and downs from what I've experienced. I have enjoyed many parts of this game throughoutly and running people over is one of them. Cars cars cars. Oh boy have I obsessed over them. What mang's simple teaching had brought was a onslaught of nights training behind a virtual wheel of a tiny video game car. but hey, at least I instill fear in my tiny metal machine. To all the people I've played with, through all the terrible pinged matches, and all the games where I just could not play my best for the life of me. To all the people who helped me get better day by day with the little things. all the little skills. And I say it to all and i will say it again. the best players adapt. Not many people seem to intake or agree much upon this statement. But the best players I know. are adapters. the survival of the fittest. This community has done more than they know for me. and than they ever will know. All thanks to finding a little dumb FREEEEEEEE steam game. (quote bence "Freeonsteam") Special shoutout to all these people and your wonderful skills. Mang, My favorite player and the best teacher Mohammed, My combat buddy and my Duos companion Chill, One of my best friends and someone Ive watched progress the most Acta, One of the fiercest foes and another person I've watched progress so far Marg, a Newer player. but has not ceased to impress me over and over Queen, One of the Most sarcastic of all players *eyeroll* but also will shut you down with her teamplay. Taco, another mentor from when i first started. as well as one of the best gunplayers I know Hank, The cryptic man who once revealed himself later in time. (seriously tho i was so scared of this guy) Katz, One of the greatest teamplayers and team ecoer Ive seen. The first thing are there no tutorial mode, the role are basic Battle Royale but there are zombie when you death still another chance, the hot key are hard to switch with, there no coop so you could play with your teammates.
Amazingly fun game, simple but incredibly fun to blast people point blank in the face with a shotgun and watching them explode in blood, cash etc
very fun, a good game to kill time in with a decent skill ceiling. supporting small devs as well!
Great free to play battle royale. I went ahead and got the deluxe edition and starter pack on sale Positives: . You get a lot more PVE ability with the deluxe edition, and it helped me get a head start for under $15 for both purchases (on sale). Even if you aren't great at the multiplayer, it gives you chances to come back as a zombie to fight for a chance to respawn as a player. There is a lot to grind out and level up which gets the dopamine firing. It runs great on my PC and is a ton of fun with friends. Negatives: There is a lot to navigate and not much of a step-by-step tutorial on how things work, which can make a little overwhelming when starting out. Loot boxes purchases are encouraged, but it's not pushy about them and it's a free to play so you can't expect no micro-transactions TLDR: game good. worth a try
The game locks you out of most things through skill unlocks and level-ups, which are gatekept through loot boxes and the "Acid" system, which in short is the currency you spend to open boxes or "Flasks" and is given to you in ridiculously low amounts, inflating the playtime. The classes seem to just be there to inflate the progression time as you have to unlock and upgrade abilities for each class, and the classes themselves barely add variety to the game. Besides that, the game also misses the point of roguelikes, which is synergizing abilities (which, again, have to be unlocked and upgraded) and not having one specific ability do all the heavy lifting. The zombie mechanic is somewhat fun, but it makes death too unpunishing.
For a game with an up down view, I was very surprised! I usually hate these kind of games and prefer first person shooters, but this was quite unique and fun. The devs really nailed that battle royal feel, the game play feels fair and even (everyone has equal opportunity), and there's just a bunch of exciting fun things! I highly recommend this game : )
