Since Ski Royale (by Noctis Fable Inc.) officially launched on Steam yesterday, February 15, 2026, it’s currently the new "cool kid" on the slopes. If you’re looking for a quick breakdown before you hit the "Download" button, here is a review of what this chaotic winter racer brings to the table. Ski Royale: The "Wacky Winter" Review The Premise: Mario Kart Meets the X-Games Ski Royale isn't trying to be a hyper-realistic simulator like Steep. Instead, it leans into high-speed arcade physics and "royale" style chaos. You choose an avatar—ranging from standard skiers to penguins, robots, and wizards—and hurtle down mountains that are actively trying to kill you. The Gameplay: Fast, Simple, and Stressful The core loop is built for short, high-adrenaline sessions. Race Mode: Standard dash to the finish line where one wrong turn into a tree sends you tumbling. Elimination & Zombie Modes: These are the highlights. The "Zombie" mode adds a frantic tag-like element to the downhill race that keeps you from just memorizing the fastest lines. Obstacles: You aren’t just fighting other players; yetis, rocks, and unpredictable terrain make every run feel like a gamble. The Pros Cross-Platform Harmony: One of the strongest selling points. Whether your friends are on Windows, macOS, Linux, or even Android/iOS, you can all play in the same lobby. Low Barrier to Entry: It’s "Free to Play" and runs on almost anything. With a download size of only 150MB, it’s a perfect "let’s play something real quick" game for the group chat. Godot Engine Performance: Built on Godot 4.5, the game feels snappy and responsive, which is vital when you’re trying to weave through a forest at 80 mph. The Cons Early Launch Jitters: As with any multiplayer launch (especially one just 24 hours old), server stability can be hit-or-miss during peak hours. Visual Simplicity: The "wacky" aesthetic is charming but basic. If you’re looking for Triple-A graphics and realistic snow deformation, you won't find them here. Steep Learning Curve (Literally): While the controls are simple, the physics-based collisions can feel punishing until you get the hang of the momentum. Final Verdict Ski Royale is a blast for casual competitive play. It’s light, frantic, and doesn't take itself too seriously. If you miss the era of "Flash" games but want modern multiplayer stability and cross-play, this is a must-try. Rating: 7.5/10 — "Pure, snowy chaos."

Really fun and chaotic skiing game. The controls are simple so it’s easy to get into, but the races can get pretty intense with all the obstacles and crazy moments. I like the different game modes and the goofy characters you can play as it keeps things fresh and entertaining. Great game to play for a quick session or with friends. Definitely worth trying if you want something fast, silly, and fun.
This game saved my marriage
i go fast then hit tree story of my life
I love this game more then words can describe. 100/10 it has a penguin in it so +20 bonus points. this game will become super popular in no time some good ol friend slop
I don't know how it ended up in my wishlist, but gave it a try since it was there. Controls are bad at least their tuning, very sharp response for a game where you go fast and are obstacles to be avoided. UI is bad. Controls are not explained, you have the settings option in match while racing not in the main menu and on would assume there are tricks while airborne and will press all the buttons only to find out there is no such thing. And the nail in the coffin is the following. Nobody plays this game and more importantly the dev or devs themselfs don't play it which speaks a lot. Baited me into trying it I'll give 'em that.
cool game. Spectate mode camera angle mechanics could use some polish.
Cute game! It is very bare bones type of 3D game, but it's a very good beginner game. The character select screen etc has adorable characters. With some more polish it would be better. Reminds me of the days when I tinkered with GameMaker so I know. Also for a basic indie game it handles pretty dang well for the gameplay!
Yeah I wont lie, it took me only 10 minutes to get bored This game is not even that bad it just isn't good enough for you to spend time on it. I dont think ill play it ever again. Had to play it with friends cuz its hella dead. 2.5/ 10 (too boring)
