I was honestly really on the fence with this game sometimes. The pixel art is beautiful, and compliments well with a rudimentary yet satisfying game play loop and central mechanic. The story isn't anything to write home about, as you can expect most of your enjoyment out of the game play and sprinkle of humor throughout. Now in terms of flaws, there are a bit more than would have been preferred. The most glaring ones being quality of life issues: lack of menu map, backtracking, limited inventory space, enemy concentration in certain areas being a bit much, late game advanced customizable pieces not respawning (this is very important to know because if you are not the most ecstatic to "git gud", these items are make or break in the late game and losing them forever sucks), and the occasional item duplication when bumping into a crow with a hat. The most glaring flaw in my personal opinion was the backtracking, which constituted a lot of my time. I could see the place of it from a design perspective, just know this if that isn't your thing. flaws aside but the experience was still a fine romp nonetheless. I wish the devs the best on future prospects and hope more can enjoy this little gem!
Classic Zelda meets Castle Crashers.
Skellboy Refractured is pretty fun especially if you can get your friend to join. Tons of costumes with different effects to use, a environment that reminds me of my favorite franchise paper mario. And an optional dungeon that will have you test your limit plus the after math area once you beat the game definitely got me to keep playing. The only thing I wish that was implemented was a map to use in your inventory and not on the signs around the kingdom, I got lost a few times. But other than that I had fun with my pals playing this game.
Amazing game. still came back to play it after 3 years. real hidden gem of a game. I hope there will be a sequel in the future.
there are some minor rough edges (particularly with regards to issues of depth perception clashing with the 3D platforming elements at times), however, that's what makes this a diamond in the rough. terrific 2.5D visuals, a fantastic OST, and enticing exploration all make this a resounding recommendation if this sounds like your style.
pretty pog
Of course I'd recommend this game. 10/10 naming decision! This is a really fun platforming and combat game. It's really satisfying to cut down the enemies and the boss fights were all really fun. It took me a while to realise how to fast travel, so I spent a little too long backtracking (and really struggled to collect all the cows - they will haunt me forever). The final boss fight was genuinely fantastic and I really enjoyed my time with the game. Thanks for the fun, team!
по скидке брать обязательно!
I'm two bosses in so far and I feel like this game has all the charm of a Paper Mario game with the real time action rpg combat from a top down Zelda. So in other words, its pretty great. Also the art style is just gorgeous! looks exactly like what your imagination turns your fond memories of old 8/16-bit games into. Haven't beaten it yet, but so far I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any fans of the aforementioned series'.
