SIGNAL: Uncharted Lands

Дуже мила візуальна новела, наповнена чіхуахуанською наївністю та КУПОЮ культурних посилань, як локальних українських, так і на американські кіно та серіали. Повне проходження по різним гілкам сюжету та здобуттями усіх 30 досягнень зайняло трохи більше 2 годин. Це небагато, але це чесна праця за цю ціну (~150 грн.). Я отримала задоволення від цієї гри, бо вона просто приємно написана. Для насолоди нею не обов'язково любити чихуахуа, бо малюнки достатньо смішні щоб відчути щось до головних героїв.

[h1] Funny, creative, and gorgeous [/h1] I decided to buy the full game after less than 5 minutes of playing the demo. The premise is hilarious in its own right - a bunch of chihuahuas exploring the post-apocalyptic earth. Then the game exceeded all of my expectations. [h2] Visuals [/h2] The world looks absolutely stunning, you can tell that a lot of thought went into keeping the balance between recognizable buildings and objects, slowly decaying as the centuries pass, and creating beautiful new landscapes, with almost alien-looking sights. As for the main characters, they are so [b] adorable! [/b] Their little faces are incredibly expressive and manage to perfectly portray their personalities. [h2] World-building [/h2] I don't want to spoil the big reveals or jokes (there are so many in the game), but I can't imagine a better showcase of how a chihuahuan civilization would look like and how its citizens would think and behave. Every detail is taken into consideration, and the result is ridiculous in a good way. The world feels mysterious, full of curiousities. [h2] Writing [/h2] The game is mostly reading, which is expected of visual novels, so writing is the most important part. And it does not disappoint. Everything from minute details in the conversation, to objects you decide to look at, will have a sizable impact on the story. The main characters have unique personalities and goals, their judgment feels like it's based on years of experience, which makes their interactions with the world more nuanced. The adventures they encounter are unexpected and fun to unravel. [h2] Final thoughts [/h2] I fell in love with these cute faces and the world of this game. There are tons of easter eggs, and not all of them will be obvious, but spotting one is a pleasant surprise each time. I instantly fell in love with the game and highly recommend it!

A great game for the evening! I love the variety of choices, the well-written plot and, of course, the visuals! Everything is at a high level p.s. It's especially nice to play it to relieve stress 😅

Коли я вперше побачив цю гру, то зрозумів, що я неодмінно маю купити її вже через той факт, що у мене теж є чіхуа. Це дуже мила коротенька новела з надзвичайно файною стилістикою і чудовою атмосферою. Це історія очима тваринок, які можуть надати власні підозри щодо невідомих їм об'єктів у кумедній манері, які модняво одягаються, не забуваючи про можливість аксесуарів, роль яких чудово виконує спідня білизна на голові (що є дуже кьют), і які у своїх пригодах, окрім досліджень і дружніх теревень, не забувають смачно попоїсти. Всі персонажі чарівні (деякі буквально), як і пейзажі з відсилками, що викликають легку усмішку. Світ чіхуахуанців ідеально б підійшов для мультсеріалу (я би з радістю його подивився). Дякую за гру, тепер піду їсти рослинну сосиску!

I really enjoyed this visual novel. Cartoon pups very serious about their mission are funny, arts look great, and the story is very kind, despite the post apocalyptic setting. This game is good for kids and adults. Despite being a lighthearted story, it raises deeper questions about humanity. I recommend this game.
