Basically this is Yatzhee with some roguelite elements. A very chill game that you can definitely kill some time with. Works great on a handheld althought the writing on teh screen is insanely small for it. A option to increase the size of that would be nice. Definitely something I would have to keep installed for some nice relaxing gaming or something that can easily be played while working. Easy to get the gameplay down and informs you of you play options very well. Your plays do damage to the random person, you shop items can increase you damage greatly. Solid game.
The game crashes on start on Linux. It starts with a workaround. The Steam overlay does not work and you don't get notifications for achievements. The game does not close. Steam has problems closing the game. I can't even close Steam anymore. I can't even reboot the Steam Deck anymore!!! Please fix or i have to get a refund. The translations are very bad and make no sense in the context of the game. Yacht has specific terms for the dice combinations, you can't just make up names! Many Texts are not translated and fall back to polish. The game has a lot of bugs. Sometimes the dice are not rendered. Saving the game does not work reliably, you often end up in a fight you already won. I unlocked endless mode, but it is still locked. I finished the campaign, but quick fights are still locked. So it looks like you can't even complete this game! The use of AI is a red flag. The AI models are built on exploitation and consume a lot of energy and water for cooling. But it makes a difference that a solo indie dev uses it compared to big corporations that actually have the ressources to hire developers, but want to make more profit by using AI. Some assets like the characters look like AI. Most of the bugs could probably be prevented when coding by hand. The game runs perfectly with Proton. Then: The game is simple and fun. I would recommend it without all the bugs. It really is low quality!

Airem has come up with a winner. A five dice poker style game familiar to most but with a few supercharged additions. You learn to use a special add-on die with certain attributes and also an additional quality of play perk. Games move quickly but not with an abundance of screen "noise" so you don't feel overwhelmed. I've played enough now that I have a good feel for the gameplay and look forward to unlocking new skills and dice. Can't beat this for a bit of uncomplicated stress relief when the mood strikes.
There are several modes, including Endless, Quick Matches, and even Story Mode, but first you need to go through the Amateur Tournament to unlock them. This first tournament also acts as a tutorial for the game's mechanics and gameplay, which are not particularly complicated. The goal of each match is to defeat your opponent within a limited number of rounds. The opponent does not get to play, but it still rolls its own special die to hurt your chances of success. To defeat an opponent, you roll five dice and then choose an outcome from the list on the right. The list is similar to poker hands, featuring combinations such as Full House, Pairs, and many others, but you can only choose one outcome per round. The score determines the amount of damage dealt to the opponent's health bar. You can roll the dice up to three times per round. You may choose an outcome immediately to end the round, or you can hold specific dice and try for a better combination. For example, if you have two fours and decide to hold them, you might roll additional fours on your next attempt. You can then hold those as well and continue trying to get all five dice showing the same number, which is the best possible outcome and deals the most damage. All outcomes display their damage values, making it easy to identify the strongest option. Winning earns you tokens that can be spent in a shop after defeating an opponent. There, you are offered a random selection of three special dice with various effects, such as increased damage, an extra roll per round, defensive bonuses, and skulls. Skulls are the only negative effect, but they are also the most dangerous because they cause you to waste an entire round. Each special die contains multiple effects, with one effect assigned to each face. You can only have one special die in your arsenal at a time, and purchasing a new one replaces your current die. This special die is rolled alongside the five standard dice, and its effect activates based on the face it lands on. The die can be rolled as many times as you like, but you can also choose to disable it if you do not want to risk an unfavorable result. Even better, every purchased die becomes part of your permanent collection, allowing you to start a new tournament with any unlocked die. As a result, getting lucky and obtaining a powerful die can give you an immediate advantage. In addition to buying dice, you can earn several unique ones by defeating specific opponents. If a die you already own appears among the three random shop offers, you can swap it for fewer tokens instead of buying it again for full price. Rounds play fast and are fun for a while, but everything starts to depend too much on the double damage perk that comes from the special dice. Later opponents come with bigger health bar that’s impossible to beat without extra damage boosts, and this also involves a lot of luck and a bit of strategy because you don’t want to waste a good outcome on weak damage.
