Incredible vibes and gameplay. Feels like everything that good THPS and Skate games were able to capture about skateboarding, but obviously for snowboarders instead. I can tell that the people who made Shredders truly love both snowboarding and video games. The maps/mountains all answer the question of "What if ski resorts didn't have to pretend to care about safety? And instead only cared about making the most insane, fun, and fantastical runs imaginable?" I don't know how to snowboard IRL either (although I do ski), and learning the controls (very much still learning 10+ hours in) feels incredibly rewarding. It feels like I'm truly learning to snowboard: the controls are somehow simultaneously simple, smooth, and intuitive, and complicated AF with so many levels of mastery available. I can't recommend enough simply playing this game however TF you want; just explore the mountain, vibe with random people online, or grind the missions. I have been having such a good time bouncing between these options on a whim.
