It's such an adorable game that was lovingly made <3 I played it in early access and I can't wait to see how it'll look when it goes live. The little sounds, the characters, the illustrations, it all just makes me very happy to be in this world and walk around in it
It's a cute little adventure game with some beautiful art work and nice music. It works fine on my old laptop, that has a simple default video card, so that's nice. I'm looking forward to playing the finished version, mostly to see all of the finished art work, and hopefully some more interesting lore about the world of the Shimmers.
A simple point and click adventure about a very cute race named Shimmers. My personal favorites are the Throw Shimmers. The game seems to be a fully hand-crafted adventure , with a short but cute story and some side-content that you can choose to do. A smol game recommended to people who love cute things and sushi.
Adorable!
Love the characters! It's so cute and cozy and I'm excited to watch development
very adorable characters and cool story, good casual time waster :3 whoop!!
Shimmerspawn has created a very lovely game for jumping head first into solo-ing a giant project such as this. From the beautiful artwork to the chill music, to the silly examination of objects and the story, this is a lovely WIP and cannot wait to see more WHOOP-ing
This lushly illustrated adventure may seem sill(k)y at times (which is a benefit in my book), but has a surprisingly thought-out lore given that. What I've seen from it so far is that any puzzles are easy enough (and fit into the story well enough) that, unless its easing in gently, you'd most likely play it for the 'cozy-but-with-slightly-darker-undercurrent' vibes -- fortunately, this game is very good at vibes. It's also good at signposting -- information can be found out in multiple ways, and interactable spots are very clear, somehow despite the background being as saturated and detailed as the foreground objects. There are some early access shenanigans of which I will inform the dev, which I'll not be leaving in this review as I expect them to be fixed soon-ish. disclaimer: I know the dev personally, but I bought this game with my own money and stand by these words separately from that
Let's start with the obvious, it's a cute and short game. If you like point and click adventures, and want to play one with the little ones, you might actually want to give this one a try. The art style is cute, and even though at time of writing (18/08/2025) the game is still in early access, it's mostly done in the "Game play" and "story" perspectives. Story: Very cute, yet short. You don't need to remember a lot of lore, and it made me want a bit more, but nothing too much. Game play: It's a point and click game with movements by keyboard/controller, nothing high-fidelity. Art style: This game will withstand the test of time, as the art is not overly realistic, but if that's your thing, I can see that being an issue. For me personally though, I like the art style as is, and wouldn't change any of the (finished) pieces. Price: For a game which is an hour long, a price tag of 5€ is more than valid, especially in Early Access. I enjoyed the game enough that it's more than worth the price. Playtime: 1 hour - 2 hours. Not too long, not too short. Steam-deck Compatibility: There's a cut-scene that breaks the game at time of writing this review, but after notifying the developer, they're working on it already. Difficult word count: 1 word I didn't know, "lounge" is apparently a group of lizards, do with that information what you want. Overall, if you don't have a lot of time at the end of your day, and want a quick game to play, with or without little ones in the vicinity, it's definitely worth giving this game a try. Puzzles aren't overly difficult, especially if you read the limited lore, and game play is very simple. A great way to end a workday in E.A., and I'll be happy to see what the game brings once it leaves Early Access and gets its full release.
So cute! Definitely check this one out. Point-and-click adventures are not my usual style, but this was adorable the whole way through. I love the Shimmers, they have a beautiful, cute world. The game's world is like a warm hug. Definitely going to replay this more. Cheers!
