Shelley Manor is a masterclass in atmospheric horror. From the eerie visuals to the spine-tingling sound design, the game immerses you in its haunting world. The puzzles are well-crafted, striking a perfect balance between challenge and satisfaction, and the story unfolds with a gripping sense of mystery. Every corner of the manor feels alive with secrets waiting to be uncovered, and the tension builds as you delve deeper into its dark history. If you love immersive horror games with a strong narrative, Shelley Manor will not disappoint!
A really nice game. The story is nice and the whole game is really well made and fun to play. Sadly there is and open end and i doubt that there will be more in the future. But still the game is really nice the sounds and the graphic is also really great. And its FREE so no reason not to try it.

"Shelley Manor" is a student project from ESAT and this time I think we can give the students a pass. What do you do in the game? It's a third person action/stealth puzzler where you sneak around a Halloween monster themed house, avoiding cartoon Dracula, etc etc. I've seen worse ideas for games. It's an incomplete and abandoned project that, had it been completed, might even be worth recommending, but the lack of polish and incomplete state of the game unfortunately kills it. The students abandoned this 7 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. It's problematic enough when educational institutions feel the need to pollute Steam with every single student homework assignment that gets handed in... but publishing incomplete ones that will never be finished (because the students moved on) is much worse... it's obviously against the purpose of Early Access and it does nothing but make life worse for gamers and for indie devs who do the right thing and make complete games, because they have to compete with all this student garbage to get visibility.
