SHEEPO

I picked this up on a sale recently after playing and enjoying Iselets elsewhere, and Sheepo is pretty good for what it is, blending platformer with metroidvania. However I did find the bossess a bit annoying to deal with(however It can very well just be a skill issue on my end) , being more endurance tests/ light bullet-hell. Though the game still controls and plays well.

The best platformer I've played since HollowKnight. Sheepo is that good.

lightly puzzling, precise-but-not-demanding platforming. visuals are bland. soundtrack is great. it was at times a little talkier than i'd like but that can mostly be mashed through. on balance, lots of fun!

Not nearly as good as Islets but still alright. The atmosphere is pleasant, there's no combat at all, and zero enemies apart from the bosses. The platforming and exploration are fun, although the controls feel a bit slippery, which makes it easy to take damage in certain sections. The dialogue is funny, although there's not a lot of it. The music definitely has that Eric Thompson vibe, and it's pretty good, although not on the level of Islets. The transformations are definitely the best part of the game, although they only last a few seconds unless you refresh them. I didn't really have the motivation to go for 100% completion here, since unlike Islets, you don't get a cool upgrade with each feather you complete, and your only reward is a hidden room at the end. Overall, it's a short and relaxing metroidvania that you can easily finish in an evening, but I recommend going for Islets first as it's a complete improvement over this one.

Přivedl mě k ní Crypt Custodian, kterej byl skvělej a i když Sheepo je první autorova hra, už tady je vidět jasnej rukopis. Ovládání jsem si na klávesnici musel trochu přizpůsobit, ale pak už to byl příjemnej zážitek. Až na pár záseků jednodušší metroidvania, která ale pohladí po duši a gameplay je zábavnej od začátku až do konce. Brzy si dám Islets :)

A good example of why I love indie games. Simple, charming, and fun to play. A bit on the short side, but definitely worth buying on sale.

es un juegazo full plataformero me encanto de principio a fin es cortito pero bueno al menos en la historia ya si quieres completarlo al 100 es un poco mas largo pero me encantan los juegos de este desarrollador los tengo todos y me los eh pasado todos estoy esperando el nuevo juego de este 2026
