About
shapez is a low-stakes factory building game all about the automation of shapes production. Extract basic shapes with miners, cut them into segments and combine them into brand-new, unique shapes. Stack multiple layers of different shapes on top of each other & deliver them to the HUB to advance!
As you progress, new buildings are unlocked and the required shapes become more complex. Extract paint and use them to color your shapes. Spread out across the infinite sandbox to acquire different shapes and increase your production.
Leverage copy-paste tools to massively expand your factory as demand increases and shapes get more complex. Mix paint to create new colors, stack many layers of shapes and increase throughput as necessary. After all, it’s not an idle game!
Get creative with optional wiring & logic to optimize your factory to your liking and maybe even make a powerful machine that can make every shape possible.
With no enemies, timers or resource limits to worry about, shapez is a game that allows you to take on factory building at your own pace while progressively tackling more complex levels, if you’re looking for a challenge.

Un buen juego de automatización demasiado relajante, ya que construir o desmantelar no consume tiempo ni recursos, no hay combates ni temporizadores que te presionen, solo hay líneas de producción cada vez más complejas, y un estilo artístico minimalista, simple y directo.
TL;DR: If you've never tried out automation/factory games, give the free demo a try (available on browser too). You get a clear idea of what the genre has to offer if Factorio, Satisfactory or Dyson Sphere Program piqued your interest. Full Review: The game makes you a simple offer. A fun and addicting way to explore the inner workings of your mind, discover just how strong your OCD is and how much of a perfectionist you are; in exchange for two things. First, quite an impressive amount of your mindspace. The game had me thinking about my factories during the day when I wasn't supposed to. Second, your time perception warping enough to start measuring time by "factories or supply lines built" instead of minutes and hours. I've had to stop myself at 3AM multiple times because I just had to optimize this little thing a tiny bit more. Jokes aside, I think this game acts as an excellent introduction to the automation/factory genre. The mechanics and concepts are stupidly simple yet the process turns out to be surprisingly satisfying. The game asks you to produce and deliver through conveyor belts a certain amount of a certain shape (grey rectangles, red circles, white and yellow half-rectangles-half-circles, etc...) in order to progress through the levels. You can extract shapes and colors from veins (as if they were some kind of mineral). Then you can process those shapes by rotating, cutting, painting and putting them back together (or not) in order to produce the final shape you need to progress. You, of course, don't start with all machines unlocked in order to not overwhelm you and the game's first levels act as a tutorial and fairly well-paced introduction to the games mechanics. So to sum it all up, you EXTRACT, then you PROCESS and then you DELIVER. That's it, no enemies, no energy management no real-time resource management. After all that you might be thinking "Wasn't the game 'stupidly simple'? That doesn't sound simple at all!". What I meant by "stupidly simple" is that you shouldn't be afraid of the apparent complexity or difficulty of the game. In fact, if you feel intimidated or worry that the game will be too taxing on your brain and overwhelm you I'd encourage you to try it out, it can be fun to leave your comfort zone every now and then! Anyhow, It's astonishingly simple to enter somewhat of a flow state while building and connecting supply lines to manufacture whatever it is that you need so you're probably not gonna get overwhelmed unless you try to minmax everything from the get-go. The game CAN be very complex but it doesn't HAVE to be. You decide how optimized and compact you want your factories to be and you can totally just bruteforce your way through the game just by building larger factories and in bigger quantities. The main difficulty of the game comes from solving the little "puzzles" of how to obtain the shape the game wants, instead of optimizing your factories. After all that, it's unfair to not talk about some other aspects of the game and just isolate the concept of it. I personally didn't run into any main performance issues but I did find the game was starting go "lag" somewhat in densely populated areas, specifically near the Hub where a lot of conveyors were actively carrying items. I learned to just directly trash the production of unneeded shapes right after coming out of production in order to not carry them along the map into the Hub to avoid this (it also made my map a lot cleaner, which indirectly helped me out quite a lot when trying to connect new factories to older supply lines). Maybe some people with lower-end systems will suffer more from that, but it never made the game unplayable for me at all. The graphic department is not really "modernly appealing". It's 2D, it's simple and it's not confusing or awe-inspiring. It's the part of the game that I see as being a deal-breaker (once you've actually decided to want to try out this kind of genre). Some people might find it boring and uninteresting, some may like it for being simple and elegant and other will find it helps them focus more and avoid distractions. The sound design and music are fine, I didn't personally find the sounds annoying or jarring. When you place machines and conveyors they make a nice and clear 'thud'. The music is kinda good and I found myself vibing several times to some of the tunes, though there's not a lot of variety and I have to admit they start blending together quite a bit after some time playing. To finish it all up, I really recommend this game if you're one of three types of people (or any combination of them): 1) An engineer or product designer, who has never tried out the genre. 2) Someone curious about the genre due to other more eye-catching games you might have seen (like Factorio or Satisfactory) but felt discouraged because they seemed too hard or overwhelming. 3) Chill Factorio enjoyer. This game was inspired by Factorio and it wanted to reduce the scope in order to be more minimalistic so bear that in mind. I don't recommend this game if you: 1) Like to play with friends. The game has no coop, as far as I know. Factorio and Satisfactory do. 2) Are a hardcore Factorio-head addict. This game lacks a big chunk of the complexity Factorio has to offer (as it should).

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
