Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

I love it!

Probably weakest of the Shantae games but still fun to play on the steam deck. The weakest part is having to replay some levels multiple times to get specific stuff. It's like metroidvainia but it gets you to replay the entire level just to get to a place where you can use the new power. Still looks quite pretty, platforming is solid. The levels are not great but not bad either. If you've played other Shantae's this one is fine to pick up as well.

Makes me wish there were more Shantae games. :(

Es un juego hecho con cariño, la verdad es que me divertí, luego iré por las siguientes entregas.

Давно еще хотел поиграть в игру этой серии. Красочный платформер про полуджина Шантае, которая может превращаться во всяких зверей. И игра дейсвительно оказалась неплоха, но обнаружился неожиданный минус. В ней очень мало уровней. Штук пять+финальный+хаб. И вам их придется проходить по нескольку раз, потому что по сюжету. вам нужно искать всякую дрянь для мега-динамо-машины вашего дядьки. По хорошему это компенсироваться новыми способностями которые вам дают, но этого недостаточно. Вообще оказалось, что способности не так роляют, как мне казалось до начала игры, и тут нет каких сложных головоломок или уровней завязанных на комбинировании этих способностей. Разве что в отдельных ситуациях. Неплохо, но чуток разочарован.

this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks (I can't beat the second boss) ok so i was dumb and didn't buy healing, but even then there's things that make this negative for me, it's abysmally short, 5 hours not including me being awful at the game to 100% main mode, frame rate inconsistency, minor things like that that make it not worth the price plus dlc imo
