About
A maze. A monster. No way out.
Trapped deep underground in a decaying mineshaft, you're alone, unarmed, and being hunted. With no map and no sense of direction, you must navigate a sprawling labyrinth of tunnels in search of ancient relics that may be your only way out. But every step echoes. And something in the dark is listening.
Shafted is a first-person horror thriller where survival hinges on stealth, instinct, and courage. Set in a maze-like mineshaft, the game challenges you to collect a series of key relics while avoiding a relentless cave-dwelling predator. There are no weapons, no safe zones—only narrow passageways, flickering lights, and the constant fear of being found.
As you descend deeper into the mine, tension builds through dynamic lighting, immersive spatial audio, and unpredictable enemy behavior. Every decision matters. Every sound you make could be the last.
Developed in Unreal Engine, Shafted uses atmospheric visuals and environmental storytelling to create an experience that is both grounded and terrifying. This is the debut release from Large Lads, an independent studio focused on delivering bold, unforgiving horror experiences.
Maze-like Mineshaft – Explore a non-linear, disorienting tunnel system with shifting geometry and no map to guide you.
Relic-Based Progression – Locate and recover hidden relics that are the key to unlocking your path forward.
Stalking Horror – Evade a deadly, reactive monster that adapts to your behavior and grows more aggressive over time.
Immersive Presentation – Built in Unreal Engine with detailed lighting, spatial sound design, and a focus on psychological tension.
No Combat – You cannot fight back. Survival is about movement, stealth, and smart decisions.
Indie Debut – Shafted is the first game from Large Lads, a small studio committed to creating tight, atmospheric horror.

good game dont run out of stamina
Its aight, simple game. As a maze horror with pick up "Slender" aspect. Figured you have to use items once you pick them before you die. If you die you lose them forever. + Seems that quitting the game is broken. Gotta Alt+F4. Also the flashlight is kinda odd at times. Had quite a few jump-scares and is quite challenging especially because i found myself walking in circles in the Mine. Quite scary - 6/10 7.5/10 because of affordable price.
