I need more handholding than this. I really don't think I understood what to do. I played the tutorial and that taught me how to create plagues, summon agents and infiltrate. But then in the real game that's all I knew how to do. I just spent so many turns passing while my agents did one of those things. I was lost in all the menus. To be fair I also found Crusader Kings too complicated so maybe I'm just not smart enough for an indie game like this.
A game where you have to plot how to bring down Empires. Often, you will sit in your chair thinking "hehehe, good...good...". You can cause starvation, fester plagues, cause dissent and world wars to bring eternal darkness. Meanwhile, your agents will be attacked and stopped by heroes but the end is inevitable as your power grows and you turn the world to the Dark Side, because they have cookies. Possible playstyles include (taken from the discussions, credit goes to Tystyfy): Consume tens of thousands of refuges fleeing from devastation and destruction. Summon a desertificating goddess. Drive an orc tribe to raze all of civilization. Convince the elven enclaves that humanity is a pox on the world. Unleash literal waves of thrumming madness across the land. Convert the population of an entire city into fish-abominations. Create a new Dark Empire. Persuade humanity that you are actually benevolent, then pull the rug. Get sealed away for another 1000 years because the Chosen One fulfilled the prophecy. Curse a family's entire bloodline. Twice. Thrice, even. Cause a zombie apocalypse. Some of these are easier and faster to accomplish, while others need more careful planning, but all of them are fun!
Incredibly satisfying once you've gotten the hang of it
its amazing it has so much replayability i feel like if one somewhat big youtuber covered this it would blow up there is nothing like it
Very few games out there where you play the bad guy, and that are fun. Interesting format with a ton of mods. Nabbed it on sale for like $5, super worth it at that price!
A really excellent "play as the bad guys" game, with delightful complexity in how everything interacts. Turn based, which I really appreciate. A lot of ways to adjust the difficulty, with the base difficulty being "all of the stories are about the good guys winning, so you'd better have a good reason why this one is different"
A very unique and solid strategy title. It has a bit of a learning curve and it is often hard to see the bigger picture when you are new. I did enjoy this game but it never "hooked" me so it remains in my favorites list wanting to be reinstalled and loved again.
very good game of intrigue and espionage
Super atmosperic game where you take over the world by covert action and corruption.
Love to be a large snake
