Shadowgate VR: The Mines of Mythrok

It's not bad, not great either. The puzzles are simple, and when they are not its trial and error and quickly become tedius. The controls are not great and i'm finding it tricky to get the game to register not hints from the crow but the "CROW-O-VISION". I do like the hints and the abilities of the crow, I also enjoy the death traps and enemies, which i found fun. But again the content doesn't warrant a 30 dollar game, more like a 10-15$ game. I only bought this game because i liked the old Mac Venture games & the new Shadowgate 2012. This one however i recommend a hard pass. Even for die hard shadowgate fans. Honestly I don't know what i was expecting with this game, as it's hard to translate point and click adventures to a decent VR experience. I know i wasnt expecting this. Not to any players, that first door puzzle at the beginning is indicative of the other puzzles in the game. BUGS: - so many, but the worst one i came across was a save bug near the spike bridge. I lost about 20 min of play and I wont pick up this POS again because of it.

A worthy game for your collection if you like Dungeons. puzzles, nice atmosphere and a slow pace. I hope the Quest version made some money so we can get Part 2. Playing on a Quest 2 with Airlink but PCVR is the best. Edit: Leave the minecarts out of any sequel please I beg you. Puzzles and minecarts don't go together.

J'ai pris mon temps: il faut compter plutôt entre 5 et 6h de jeu. Bonne surprise! OK , ça n'évite pas la répétitivité sur la fin, mais à petite dose c'est un mélange sympa et surprenant entre dungeon crawler et jeu d'énigme old school. Un jeu très agréable qui fait le taf avec des graphismes très corrects. Je pense que les autres commentaires négatifs sont plus dûs à des personnes qui ne s'attendaient pas à ce genre de jeu. Vivement la suite!

Bisher zeigt sich mir das Spiel als Rätsel- und Fallen-Dungeon mit gelegentlichen Monster töten. Die Rätsel sind recht vielseitig und fordern mal das Finden von Gegenständen und deren Einsatz an Bestimmten Orten, einen Spießrutenlauf über Brücken, Schalter-Rätsel usw. Fallen gibt es in vielen Varianten, von unsichtbaren Tretminen über Selbstschussanlagen bis Fallgitter etc. ist alles vertreten. Manches lässt sich durch beobachten, Logik und ausprobieren lösen. Einige Fallen wiederum bedienen sich der "erstmal Sterben" Erfahrung. Das kann aufgrund der Speicherpunkte im Spiel schon mal etwas nervig werden, diese sind manchmal rar gesät und man muss gewisse Abschnitte bei Misserfolg mehrfach wiederholen, hier könnte der Entwickler noch nachbessern. Grafisch gefällt mir das Spiel ganz gut, die Dungeons und Monster sind gut in Szene gesetzt, auch die Akustik ist passend. VR-Technisch macht es bei mir, Valve Index Set, auch einen guten Eindruck. Die Steuerung ist präzise umgesetzt, die Controller-Belegung entspricht den gängigen Standards und kann in gewissen Rahmen individualisiert werden. Für mich ein tolles Spiel welches mich aber gelegentlich, wegen der Speicherpunkte in Kombi mit dem "versuch und stirb", Prinzip nervt.

Legit fun game, puzzles are pretty solid once you figure them out you feel silly for not realizing it. That being said has minor issues but worth it imo.

Prometedora saga de la que espero ansioso nuevos libros. Gráfica y sonoramente inmersivos que te hacen sentir en el interior de esas misteriosas minas de Mythrock. Interacciones simplificadas pero con novedosas acciones y experiencias VR que harán las delicias de los aventureros exploradores y amantes de los puzzles. The game is slightly above average. Buy it on a discount. It took me 10 hours to complete it.

Amazing dungeon crawler - Puzzle experience! Highly recommended

This game does not deserve mixed reviews. THIS IS SHADOWGATE. Like this is as true to the original formula as it could be. This is what the game wanted to be, if technology would have allowed for it, back when the first one came out. This is a nice new story in the same formula. I'm super grateful for it. Hold the phone-- why are so many people downvoting this game? They almost had me, a diehard Shadowgate fan, not get a VR headset and play it. If there were bugs-- I haven't encountered any. As to the dangers after puzzles, while it is difficult, you can just turn the difficulty down and flail against them if you want.

There is very little of what made Shadowgate games interesting: object puzzles. There are some objects to interact with, through touch or magic, to solve puzzles, but most of the game is taken up by monotonous corridors, traps, and enemy encounters. It's too much SURPRISE! TRAP!, SURPRISE! ENEMY ATTACK!, or just "find and hit the hidden symbol with magic". I'ts just padding, padding, padding! Instead of focusing on what the game should have been about: Puzzles. Go play "The Room VR: A Dark Matter" instead. It may not have monsters and deadly traps, but it is much closer to how a Shadowgate game should be.
