Hello all! I had the opportunity to play Shadow's Grove for free on October 17th, 2025. The game feels unfinished, so please take my review with a grain of salt, as additional updates may (hopefully) be made after this post. It took me approximately 39 minutes to reach the credits, however I have terrible hand-eye coordination and I spent a lot of time glitching through terrain and reloading. The "invisible walls" defining the boundaries of play have a lot of gaps and switching between human and wolf forms often results in glitching up or down vertically. In addition to the limited and interrupted game play, Shadow's Grove also lacks any depth to the story, with the dialog and soundtrack falling flat. The final scene is poorly animated, giving the whole game a rushed and unsatisfying feel. I went into this game expecting similar visuals, game play, story line and emotional feel as "Lost Ember" based on the description and teaser, and I was disappointed on all fronts. Shadow's Grove shows some potential, but would need a lot more work to sort out the bugs and flesh out the story.
game is visually great, but game play and mechanics are lack luster.

Got the game for free, shortly after launch. It's incomplete so far. Animation and mechanics need some heavy work to stand up to modern standards. Story is short, to the point and easy to follow. Game shows a lot of potential but needs a lot of work. Rate it as 6/10
Super projet. L'ambiance, les décors. Juste les monstres un peu trop rapide donc pour la visée assez complexe. Continuer comme ça j'ai passé un bon moment.
wonky with some collision issues ended up replaying a little due to a abilities not working though visually pretty seems like it an school project game
Reaaaaally liked the aesthetic, got couples of bugs (such as clipping through the map and all). Got the same things to say as the others, the monsters are too fast animation feels weird and the game felt unfinished. But I really feel like there is something to work with that. I got a little disappointed cause there wasn't any secrets, but that's my Deltarune brain talking here.
Was a cute experience, combat seems a bit clunky with the mobs moving faster than magic bolt, but I liked it overall !
Pros: * Pretty visuals * Reasonably intuitive interface. * Shape-shifting to do different things is nice. Cons: * Combat is easy but very annoying. Game would probably benefit dramatically from it being removed entirely (or make it into a stealth mechanic where you need to avoid the ghosts instead of killing them?). * There is a seed of some sort of puzzle game here, perhaps? At least the first 15 minutes were incredibly linear, with "shoot the glowing orb" and "shoot the destructible thing which hides a passageway or the glowing orb" being literally the only two mechanics in the game. Possibly more is introduced later, but I didn't get enough fun out of it so far to keep playing. * An odd decision to use the same button for dash and teleport. I jumped to my death instead of teleporting at least once. E would be a better choice, perhaps? Or just remove Dash entirely and replace it with something more interesting, especially if the combat goes, too?
