About
Shadow Eclipse is an action roguelite dungeon crawler built around magic, mastery, and replayability. Wield powerful spells, experiment with unique build combinations, and fight through a world consumed by shadow. Each run challenges you to adapt and push deeper into increasingly dangerous depths.
Challenging Combat: Battle through escalating enemy encounters and hostile environments as difficulty increases with each level. Powerful bosses guard the path forward and test your build, timing, and control of magic.
Build Diversity: Each room cleared rewards randomized spell upgrades, ensuring no two runs play the same. Your mage can only wield three spells at a time, forcing you to choose which abilities to keep as your build evolves.
The Astral Lens: A mysterious device lets you influence the balance of light and darkness before each run. Shifting the world toward one side increases danger — enemies grow stronger, encounters become more volatile, and survival demands greater mastery. The further you tilt the balance, the harsher the eclipse becomes.
10 unique spells, each with distinct mechanics
30+ upgrades that modify and enhance spells
10+ enemy types with varied behaviors
5 boss fights that block progression into deeper areas
Astral Lens Runs: Only Light Run I is dev complete - 5 more runs are in development.

Full playthrough here: https://youtu.be/aO6aqkcv-dg It's pretty fun for 5 bucks it's short and honestly once you get so far you basically become god mode, but being god mode is pretty entertaining for a bit some of the spells are kind of sick. I do think it'd make the game a good bit better if CC had diminishing returns to an extent as black hole /ice attack can basically stun lock. The Final boss did actually make me think about starting to dodge a little bit since he gets a bunch of I-frames but at that point you're just too powerful. More deadly mechanics to dodge would be fun, but regardless for early access I believe I got my moneys worth. Hopefully at some point there'll be an ending cutscene with credits as it doesn't seem to have that yet.
This is a short and very fun game. I will list a few pros and cons of this game. Pros: 1. Shadows are an interesting design; falling into a shadow costs blood, while using spells removes shadows from your path and deals damage to enemies. At the same time, in each level we are being chased by a patch of shadows that can't be eliminated, and once we are caught up it means the game is over. The shadows are designed to limit the player's range of movement, and also act as a timer so that the player sometimes has to choose between a detour and an active attack. It raises the difficulty of the game and brings more fun.2. A variety of spells, which have different play styles and effects, and the author provides three slots for the player, which means that the player can break through the game by matching different combinations of spells. Cons: Some of the spells are overpowered, which may cause the player's choices to always end up being fixed on a few powerful spells, reducing the opportunity to try out other spells. For example, combining a burst of fireballs with passive bloodsucking could achieve a near-perpetual-motion effect. 2. I wish the maze design could be more complex. I've played through the first four levels so far, and the map design for these levels uses corridors without monsters to connect squares with monsters, and it would be nice if it could be done in a way that the shapes and structures of the maze are randomly generated as well. All in all, this is a game I don't regret buying, it's fun enough and challenging enough. I hope it can be made better in the future.
Super enjoyable and immersive game that gets more fun to play every update! It's my go to game when I feel like I need a break from life cause I can get totally immersed in it. I've had a lot of fun playing multiplayer with friends as well in the beta.
I liked it. It absolutely very difficult for me since I'm not an experienced gamer. Played for several rounds and never able to beat level 3 so far. Sooooooo...something new, I encountered a cat at the end of level 2 asking me to rescue her friends. So I assume there will be more cats if I can get deeper in the levels. Can't wait to discover the story line. THAT'S SUPER CUTE.
Fun fast paced dungeon crawler that keeps up the pressure. Cant wait to see where this game goes!
Fun indie rouglite! Deff recommend if you're into spells / magic combat, plus it has a dodge which is nice. The mechanics around darkness / light and the shadow wall that creeps up on you are really cool / unique. Anyway, gotta go git gud.
Really fun game made by a great indie dev. The spells and combat are satisfying and it feels good to level up your spells and get OP. The art and level design is interesting and it has good replay value as a roguelike. excited to see more updates come
Amazingly fun game! There is a definite learning curve to the game in the beginning, but part of the fun is figuring everything out. There are a lot of different spell combos, upgrades, and monsters. So though some of it can easily be OP the game is in early stages and can't wait to see where it goes!
