About
Shadow Alchemist is an isometric pixel art game that blends puzzle-solving and reality-bending alchemy. Awaken in the depths of a shadowy dungeon, you'll embark on a journey of self-discovery and transformation that challenges your perception of reality itself.
Alchemical Abilities: Master the art of self-transmutation, unlocking powers that allow you to become invincible, shrink to minuscule sizes, and even create duplicate of yourself.

Mind-Bending Puzzles: Navigate through increasingly complex environmental challenges that require creative use of your alchemical abilities.

Light Combat: Engage in occasional skirmishes with wandering enemies, or use your wit and timing to avoid confrontation altogether.

Recursive Mystery: Experience a narrative that evolves with each "escape," as subtle changes in the dungeon and your own memories hint at a greater truth.
As you delve deeper into the dungeon's secrets, you'll uncover startling truths about your own nature and the reality that surrounds you. Can you master the alchemical abilites, overcome the challenges, and ultimately unravel the mystery of your past?

Cute little game. It's one drop of nothing, a thick slice of thin air, a good cut of never was, a sweet moment of doesn't matter. It's just adorable. Ludum Dare vibes. Very short, a bit repetitve, so mind that when you purchase, but it really is a nice little something. A nice first step into games for sure, relaxing puzzler. Enjoy the chocolate - another 9gagger
9gag brought me here. Bought the game because of the review by the wife xD. Gave it a go and managed to get 30 mins for the 1st play through. The game is neat and the music is immersive. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bugs: The only bugs I experienced were,: 1. you end up in Narnia if you have the 1st ability On and fall through the glitchy road 2. when you are in the miniature form and you manage to get stuck in the bar with the timer running out, you die xD
Came here from 9GAG. Want to help small developer. Quite fun game with decent price. The simple ambient sound make the game relaxing to play. Recommend. Enjoy the, choco Mrs. developer wife and their kid.
I'm just here for the 9Gag chocolate.
I totally bought it so your wife could have some chocolate, and was pleased to find a good game to boot! Well done and well worth the $5.50.
Realy loving game <3 Need to beat the Record from PostHuman xD
I haven't finished this game yet, but one thing's for sure: no ending will be as beautiful as a loving family that supports each other.
Choco Choco laaaaaaaate. Congratulations on the game, it really reminds me of PC RPG games from the 80s and 90s. Not only because of its PixelArt aesthetics but also because of the humor in the character's dialogues (or rather monologues). In a way, it also reminds me of another gem of the genre, UnEpic. Remember to buy chocolates for your wife and share an update with the same, because she really deserves it. For now, beyond joining the effort of my 9gag brothers, I think this is a game that really deserves to be bought, especially at the accessible price offered.
Really good baseline for a larger possible game. Could very easily be a much longer game to play with additional systems implemented. Congrats on the Steam release! I knew what the story was going to be right from the beginning, but still enjoyed how it was implemented. The blob enemies are a little buggy to hit, only seems like there's a left/right attack and not up/down? Still - worth the tiny price for the game. Entertained me for about 45 mins on first playthrough. No real replayability unless you care about achievements. It's a good one-and-done. <3
