About
The game starts with a simple task: find the pattern. That’s all your brain holds onto, and nothing else. Noise, thoughts and distractions slowly drift away. For a few minutes, there’s only color, shape and the strange satisfaction of completion.
There’s something oddly calming about watching scattered shapes turn into order.
---
It begins simple. The board is quiet, only a few pieces. A square here, a circle there. The further you go, the busier it gets, but your mind adjusts nonetheless. Shapes fall into place, one after another. Until you become a master of the game.
---
Then, a choice appears. You can keep floating in that steady rhythm, filling the board one shape at a time.
OR... You can leave the comfort zone and test your pattern finding mastery. In the challenge mode, each second counts.
Both paths are there, waiting for you.

Shablon Color Patterns is a wonderfully relaxing puzzle game where you're given a board filled with tiles of various shapes and colors, along with a puzzle piece you need to drag into the right spot. The thing is that the piece doesn't directly match the shapes that you see on the board, but it is actually made from their complementary shapes. Think of it as filling in the negative space: if the board shows an empty circle at a certain position, your piece holds a filled circle for that same spot. Dropping it in the right spot completes the shapes and clears the cells. Your goal is to clear the whole board until no visible tiles remain. This turned out to be a surprisingly satisfying and calming experience, much more than I had expected. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3734106279 This core mechanic is straightforward and minimalistic, but it carries the gameplay by being used in a few clever variations. “Level mode“ (the standard experience) introduces new colors and shapes gradually, so levels slowly grow more complex, although, rest assured, they never reach a state where they feel overwhelming. The “Chaos mode“ shakes things up by modifying the board after each placement: some levels rotate the board entirely every few moves, others swap out tiles or change colors while keeping shapes, or a mix of all the above. Then there's “Challenge mode,“ which adds timers to test your pattern recognition speed. Either you get a limited window to place each piece, or you're racing to clear the whole level before time runs out. For some of these modes, you'll also need to complete a preliminary stage (not timed) where you first fill the board before you can start clearing it. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3734106312 Even though each of these game modes only has a few preset levels available, the game doesn't lack content at all. In total, there are around 90 levels that play with these mechanics, with nearly half of them dedicated to the timed challenges. Completing them will take you roughly seven hours. A “sandbox mode“ also exists, where you can customize the board size, colors used, and shape types to your liking, giving you an endless stream of procedurally generated puzzles. You can also choose from several color palettes to change the visual style to your liking. If you enjoy casual puzzle games with a beautiful, minimalist aesthetic, this little gem is well worth your time. It works perfectly whether you want to zone out and relax or give your focus a solid test. Fun, addictive, and surprisingly relaxing. A simple yet engaging pattern recognition game that is perfect for winding down after a long day. Keeping your mind active without ever feeling stressful. Great pick if you want something casual, soothing, and replayable.
This one is a real gem! Very interesting game which made me question my eyes more than once. Not sure if it's the shapes, or the colors, but it scratches an itch I never knew I had.
This one gets you that dopamine hit when you find the pattern in a matter of seconds, the satisfaction and that embarrassing childish joy you feel but hide from yourself, all in one minute, only to make you hate it, yourself and the whole Steam community in the next for not finding the following pattern for days...blaming it on RNG and your family. Ah...It's everything an ADHD needs to relax and consolidate his thoughts after a stressful day :D
Shablon: Color Patterns is a minimalist puzzle experience developed and published by Bojan Miros that revolves around visual logic, color coordination, and pattern recognition. Designed as a calm and methodical puzzle game, it invites players to engage with a series of abstract challenges built around arranging shapes and colors into coherent patterns. The game does not rely on complex mechanics or fast reactions; instead, it focuses on observation, reasoning, and patience. Through its clean design and gradually increasing difficulty, the game attempts to create a relaxing but mentally stimulating experience where the satisfaction comes from discovering hidden structures within seemingly chaotic arrangements. At its core, the gameplay centers on interpreting visual patterns and placing the correct shapes into designated spaces on a puzzle board. Each level presents a grid containing colored shapes and empty slots that must be filled in order to complete the design. Players interact with these pieces through simple drag-and-drop controls, positioning them so that the resulting arrangement follows the pattern indicated by the puzzle. While the earliest stages are intentionally straightforward and serve as a tutorial for the game’s logic, the puzzles soon evolve into more complex configurations where shapes and colors interact in multiple layers of patterns. Success requires careful attention to detail, as even a small misunderstanding of the pattern can lead to an incorrect solution. The progression of the game is structured through a sequence of levels that gradually introduce new shapes, colors, and puzzle formats. Early puzzles rely on easily recognizable sequences or symmetrical patterns, allowing players to quickly understand the basic principles behind the mechanics. As the game advances, the boards become more crowded and the relationships between shapes become less obvious. Some puzzles challenge players to identify repeating color sequences, while others focus on geometric symmetry or spatial alignment. The growing complexity encourages players to slow down and analyze the board carefully before placing pieces, turning each puzzle into a thoughtful exercise in visual reasoning. One of the defining characteristics of Shablon: Color Patterns is its emphasis on a relaxed pace. Unlike many puzzle games that rely on timers or score pressure, the main mode allows players to approach each challenge at their own speed. There is no penalty for taking time to study the board, which helps create a calm and focused atmosphere. The gameplay loop becomes almost meditative as players examine the patterns, test possible solutions, and gradually bring order to the arrangement of shapes. This quiet process of transforming scattered pieces into a balanced composition forms the central appeal of the experience. Despite its calm design philosophy, the game also provides alternative modes for players who want a greater challenge. Special variations introduce more unpredictable puzzle layouts that disrupt the clear structure seen in earlier levels. In these situations, patterns may appear partially hidden or intentionally misleading, requiring more creative thinking to solve. Another mode introduces time constraints, pushing players to identify patterns quickly and complete puzzles under pressure. These optional challenges offer a contrast to the relaxed tone of the main game, giving players a chance to test both their speed and their pattern recognition abilities. Visually, the game embraces a simple and highly readable aesthetic. The puzzle boards are composed of brightly colored geometric shapes arranged against minimalistic backgrounds that avoid unnecessary detail. This clarity ensures that players can focus entirely on the relationships between shapes rather than being distracted by decorative elements. The bold colors and clean lines give the game a modern and abstract appearance that feels similar to digital logic puzzles or interactive design tools. The simplicity of the visuals also makes it easy to identify patterns quickly once the player becomes familiar with the shapes used in the puzzles. The sound design complements the game’s minimalist visual approach. Subtle audio cues accompany the placement of pieces, providing satisfying feedback when shapes snap into place correctly. The background music is gentle and unobtrusive, designed to maintain a peaceful atmosphere rather than draw attention to itself. This restrained use of sound helps reinforce the game’s focus on concentration and reflection, allowing players to remain immersed in the process of solving each puzzle. One of the strengths of Shablon: Color Patterns lies in how it transforms a very simple concept into a series of engaging mental challenges. The rules of the game remain consistent throughout the experience, but the increasing complexity of the patterns ensures that the puzzles continue to feel fresh. Each completed board provides a small moment of satisfaction as the scattered shapes finally align into an organized pattern. This sense of discovery encourages players to continue exploring the next puzzle in search of the same rewarding realization. However, the minimalist design also means that the game’s scope remains relatively modest. With a limited number of puzzle stages and mechanics, some players may find that the experience concludes more quickly than they would prefer. The abstract presentation, while effective for clarity, may also feel somewhat basic for those who prefer puzzle games with elaborate themes or narrative elements. Even so, the game’s focused design ensures that it remains accessible and easy to understand for players of all skill levels. Overall, Shablon: Color Patterns presents a thoughtful puzzle experience built around the pleasure of recognizing visual structures. Its simple mechanics, vibrant geometric design, and gradually increasing difficulty create a gameplay loop that rewards patience and careful observation. Rather than overwhelming players with complicated systems, the game invites them to slow down and engage with patterns in a calm and deliberate way. For fans of minimalist puzzle games and logic challenges that emphasize clarity and relaxation, Shablon: Color Patterns offers a satisfying journey through a world defined by color, symmetry, and visual reasoning. Rating: 7/10
Fun game, very addictive yet (deceptively) simple. Nice to relax with. Being able to change color schemes is a nice bonus.
Simple yet devilishly complicated game at times.
