Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 25 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Severance is a 1–5 player co-op paranormal investigation game, with a twist...
YOU can become the ghost.
Severance is a 1–5 player, online co-op, tactical horror game. You and your team of investigators enter haunted locations to track and identify 20+ unique ghost types using professional paranormal equipment. Use tools like EMF Meters, Video Cameras and Possession Dolls to gather evidence and spot specific behavioral "tells." Whether facing a brutal AI or a player-controlled ghost in Asymmetrical mode, you must use your learned skills to solve the mystery before the hunt begins.
Choose how you play:
Face a smart Ghost AI designed to stalk, scare, and hunt investigators.
Or enter the Ghost Player Mode, where you hunt as the ghost against your investigating friends
In Ghost Player mode, one player becomes the ghost.
Interact with the map, scare investigators, lock doors, throw objects, and plan hunts strategically. Outplay the team by managing sanity, timing hunts, and creating fear before striking.
In Ghost AI mode, the entity is controlled by an advanced AI that actively observes investigators, reacts to their actions, and builds pressure over time.
It uses the environment, drains sanity, and hunts when the moment is right, creating tense, unpredictable investigations.
Use classic paranormal equipment to gather real evidence and identify the ghost type.
Be aware, the ghost sees and hears you. Every scare, interaction, or mistake can become valuable evidence if you stay calm under pressure.
Severance features realistic visuals, environmental audio, and a minimal UI for full immersion.
Every sound, shadow, and flicker could be a clue… or a warning.
Arm yourself with classic paranormal tools like EMF meters and thermometers, alongside unique devices such as possession dolls to track and provoke the entity.
Success relies on teamwork. Share evidence, communicate clearly, and watch each other’s backs, because whether it’s AI or a real player, the ghost is always listening.

Awesome game to play with friends
I played this game for the first time yesterday as part of community night and I absolutely loved it. Getting to play as the ghost is such a cool feature. I also really like the fact that there are different ways to get evidence in comparison to other ghost games. The canvas and the doll possession are really cool additions for gathering evidence. The tutorial was very helpful. I think a tutorial for how to play as different ghosts would be helpful also. The lounge/lobby area before you load into the game is a cool feature as well especially the arcade game mini game. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys ghost hunting games!
Phasmo Wish ! claqué au sol ! objets qui clip, bug d'affichage, lumière qui passe à travers les murs et j'en passe ! d'un ridicule, fuyez !
Weird, I don't remember buying a half baked demo! Now that I have your attention, lets address the elephant in the room. Several, actually. This is going to be a long one, so buckle up kiddos! Severance is a co-op horror game that tries to be Phasmophobia... and fails at every single turn. Now, I'm not one who dislikes Phasmophobia clones. I think they're fine, and I play them a lot. I was actually very intrigued by this game's description, and it seemed promising! However, I've seen better games made on Roblox by literal children. This game is full of a toxic community, a toxic developer, AI slop (despite the dev lying about it and trying to cover it up; I'll cover more on this later in this review), usage of stolen assets & free assets, harassment, unfair treatment of others, and so much more. The game is full of AI slop, stolen assets, and free assets. Being a "solo dev" is not an excuse for everything you're doing that's problematic - full stop!! He does not get to continue to use that as a crutch so that his toxic community can continue to harass any and all negative reviews (which I will also cover later on in the review as well!!) It's also full of cheap jumpscares and isn't actually that scary, despite advertising itself as a horror game. The game is also dead at almost all times with barely any activity. "Host your own lobby then if you can't find any!" I did, and I waited for quite some time and still nobody joined ; no activity in sight. 🤔 Now, I happen to not be the only one reporting on these problems.. Please check the negative reviews and you'll see that this has been said many times before, with the toxicity reports going as far back as November of 2025. Every single person has been unfairly banned (as to silence them) that has spoken up against the developer in any way, even if it was in a nice way and willing to resolve matters. The dev does not care. He puts on a nice guy act and even offers to buy you a free copy of his game to give to a friend of yours if you leave a good review on Steam! That's why there are so many good reviews, and so little bad reviews. Bribery. Disgusting tactic of manipulation to continue with review fraud. I will not be tempted, as neither should anyone else. There are a million different Phasmophobia-like games that are much better and more polished than this that are actually genuinely deserving of your money. Here are just a few of many concerning reviews I have found, background-checked, and verified to be true. 1. https://steamcommunity.com/id/TweekingOut/recommended/3815750 2. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199215745661/recommended/3815750/ 3. https://steamcommunity.com/id/raquitted/recommended/3815750/ 4. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199552342927/recommended/3815750 5. https://steamcommunity.com/id/jhingerbread/recommended/3815750/ Many of the "good" reviews, written by the dev's most outspoken supporters, are clearly AI generated slopshows meant to either get a free copy from the dev and/or to boost ratings so that the truth is even more buried than it already is with the dev silencing everyone. Some examples include, but are not at ALL limited to, the following: 1. https://steamcommunity.com/id/Greendemontv/recommended/3815750 2. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198044822243/recommended/3815750/ Another thing to note that most, if not all, of the dev's replies are completely AI generated slop. He claims he's honest about the game having used AI assets, but this is not the case. His community, first of all, is convinced that no AI is in the game or was ever used at all whatsoever. Continuing from this, the Steam page is incorrectly filed as usage of AI that was then replaced by "human reviewed content" (which means it's still AI, fyi). The dev has been trying to cover all of this up as of recently due to getting in more controversies. There has even been a YouTube video made going into slight depth of the most recent issues: https://youtu.be/EuPyppgRQZw This review, most notably, has the most amount of evidence aside from my own that I can find and I think it's very much worth checking out: https://steamcommunity.com/id/TweekingOut/recommended/3815750 Now, as for my own image dump. I will be putting an imgur link below, but please remove the spaces from inbetween the link so that it works correctly. It showcases stolen assets, free assets, and AI generated slop assets. This is from one session, not even a full 30 minutes into the game. AI generated slop, stolen content, and free assets everywhere, right off the bat. My link: imgur . com/a/JMYTYvf And before you scream at me for my low play-time, I don't feel like continuing to play a game after immediately being blasted with AI asset flip bullsh*t and a rabbithole of the developer's disgustingly toxic behaviors. To top it all off, the dev posts negative reviews for his outspoken, toxic supporters to come and harass you which is exactly what happened in several of the other Steam reviews I've linked; most notably the one with the most evidence I mentioned (also is the one where the YouTube video is from). He claims he does not condone the behavior, yet he is the one who actively encouraged & caused the behavior because he CBA to defend himself unless it's with AI. TL;DR: The game is an unpolished AI asset flip, the community is hostile, and the developer would rather bribe people for fake reviews than actually fix this broken mess of a "game". Keep your money or use it elsewhere and go play one of the dozens of other Phasmophobia clones that actually function. Roblox games are more invigorating than this game. With all that being said, hard f**king pass.
ok so i really liked this game and the dev seemed nice but he randomly correlated me with someone else that used to be in the server, and after hes treated me poorly and unfairly banned me from the server without giving me a single chance to respond i can say that this developer is 100% toxic. this is uncalled for behaviour. please do not waste your time with this garbage. i read the review hes so pressed about and it seems to be true because he just proved to me it is.. assuming that no one just leaked my screenshots. amazing how toxic this dev is. i was also unfairly blocked too and accused of stuff i didnt do. will be refunding this garbage. please do not give this arsehole your money. im now helping the person most affected bring an evidence compilation as the dev is avoiding accountability. he manipulated me heavily and is trying to shut down every instance of truth being spoken up against him. link for video: https://youtu.be/EuPyppgRQZw i am also quitting most socials to avoid further harassment and smears from this dev and his toxic stalker-like community hes built.
When I first found Severance, I honestly wasn't a huge fan. At the time, the game was lacking tutorials and there was definitely a learning curve when it came to understanding the ghosts and how everything worked. The information about the ghosts was there, but as with any new game, you still have to spend some time learning how everything works. Since then, though, the developer has added tutorials and made a lot of improvements through newer updates. The HQ has been updated, the control interfaces have been improved, and overall, I think the game feels much smoother and more polished than when I first started playing. The more I played, the better I got at the game and the more I started to understand everything. A huge shoutout also has to go to someone from the community who took the time to come help me and explain things to me. That completely changed my experience, and ever since then, I've been absolutely in love with this game. Of course, Severance has its bugs and quirks, just like any game does. But I have to give a HUGE round of applause to the solo developer for what they've managed to create. The fact that this entire game has been built by one person is honestly incredible. In my opinion, it holds its own against games that have entire development teams behind them. One of my favorite things about Severance is that you can play as the ghost and actually hunt your friends, while also having the traditional experience where everyone works together as investigators to find the ghost. Having both sides of the experience makes the game so much more fun and gives it something that a lot of other games don't have. The locations are great, and I really like that there are locations that are easier to learn while others can be much more challenging to investigate. The game also runs really smoothly for me, and the continued updates have made the overall experience even better. Another thing I really appreciate is how much the developer listens to the community. You can tell there is a genuine effort to take player feedback into consideration and continue improving the game. Seeing things that were lacking when I first started actually get added and improved is really awesome. Honestly, I think Severance is fabulous in its current state, and I can only imagine how much further it can grow. For a game made entirely by a solo developer, what has been accomplished here is absolutely amazing. So this is a 10/10 from me. I absolutely love this game and can't wait to see where it goes from here!
I purchased this on a whim after watching a friend play it, I had the choices of getting Demonologist or The Other Side, having already owned Phasmophobia, and I picked Severance because participating as the ghost itself is a rare treat, and has been enormous fun with friends taking turns. I continue to play and support Severance because it is great, there's fun aspects of the ghost hunting and evidence gathering, and the added stress of unlocking doors so you can escape, it's a great thrill. It's a much more fun immersive game and the community has been so welcoming and fantastic!!
