C'est dynamique, c'est fluide, nerveux, parfait comme défouloir pour tuer des bots en boucle!
Holy crap I suck at this game, but it's good! Very nice fast FPS mixed with the Hades roguelike formula. It's way too hard for me but I'm sure it will be liked by a whole lot of players!
Boomer shooter Egyptian Hades. Rather short and your spell not having an animation and just being a projectile that flies out of you is underwhelming, but the weapons feel good.
[Figured I'd change the review from negative to positive - I wish steam had neutral ratings, ugh.] The positive rating is for the game design itself. It's amazing and I had a lot of fun, but the game is quite short, so buyers should be cautious. Wait to see if more levels are introduced! For the devs, from playing the demo, the full release was quite a lot shorter than I hoped it to be. It's been a while but I think my save data from the demo carried over to the game itself on release - which that itself is fine! I'm glad there wasn't any "padding" attempted to get over the two hour mark, but it's definitely a flaw where this game is as short as it is. It opens up malicious possibilities of people refunding upon completing, even I almost did, since I didn't think it'd be as short - but I chose not to. The studio doesn't deserve that, the devs don't deserve that. Imo they did a great job addressing concerns and player feedback. Hopefully new levels get introduced in the future (PLEASE build out more levels, it's a fantastic starting point), but I'd rather the game would've been held off for the sake of avoiding people refunding despite completing the game. Oh! And as for the story I... genuinely forgot this had one from the demo. I played the demo from one of the NextFest releases, got all the starting story beats (which had voice acting!), aaaaand then I think there was some ending text upon completing the game and that was it. Not even voice acting, surprisingly. It's been long enough that even I kinda forgot the basic motivation, but I think it boils down to, "You're stuck in here and need to fight your way out" (though the fact I don't remember any specifics might be telling). Maybe there could be some short voice acting sections introduced before the boss fights. Of course, not having the checkpoint include the pre-boss-fight story section, if this does get implemented. Hope the devs build upon this game itself! It's great but needs some touch-ups here and there, but what they have right now is solid.
Pretty nice French game (surprise to see CNC), and also intense too like Doom sometime. As I love mythology, I recognize and learn some Egyptian god, and their design is really amazing! The idea and concept is good even if it's little low in content. Currently 3 weapon with secondary shot (and empty one, so I can guess we can do a run only with punch, and I really love the idea! And I'm really serious), not a lot of ennemies even if the design is great! Main hub little empty, en some upgrade is little confusing sometime and only focus on stats (of what I have found for upgrade). May to have more on the weapon (more ammo, even if it reload really quick like "More ammo but slow reload" as example) A little bug on the main hub when I use the secondary shot little often (crash the game). Even if I didn't play a lot, I'm sure I will play more during few days to explore more the game and what it and if it have secret on it! (and the lore too) I play a lot of RogueLike & RogueLite in solo and coop, FPS and RPG one, and this one have the potential to be on my top list of this kind of game!
I can recommend this game with my full chest but with 2 caveats that are important to know about 1. The item pool is *intentionally* small. If you want a roguelike similar to the Binding of Issac, do not come in with that expectation, average runs take about 15 minutes, and i say that as someone that's beaten the game with the main 3 weapons 2. This game is very much Quake like in the fact of you are going to need to know specific tactics for certain enemies, even if they are not effective. Heralds of Apophis may be easy with high DPS, but on something like the Pillar of Ptah, you will need the alt fire to properly space 12 dollars feels like a bit high of a cost, but i would say pick it up when you can. More weapons would be a nice upgrade, but the game is in a very well tuned state, so i wouldn't expect to see them
i really wish there was a neutral review for stuff on steam, because in concept, aesthetic and flair i absolutely love this game, theres barely any games based off Egyptian mythology like this i can find so this was a treat to play for the demo, but sadly upon buying the final game its just, the game feels lacking, basically all thats there after the first area in the demo is another few rooms and the final boss, and the final boss isnt even too challenging if you play your cards right, i beat it first try. it feels like so much is missing from this game, as if its a demo 2.0. i dont hate it, but i just wish there was more, it feels really lacking
Short but fun arena shooter.
