Set Yourself on Fire

This is such a beautiful little experience. These characters are so relatable in ways that I've never seen expressed in other media and the presentation is absolutely fantastic, from the music to the visuals to the writing itself. I really loved this game and I am so glad that the option to support the developer is there as well. I felt bad playing this for free.

一个弥漫着死亡，战争，杀戮，饥荒，瘟疫的小镇，两位少女相爱了。非常优美非常文艺的百合视觉小说。有汉化补丁。全流程快点的话2h，我个人读的慢，花了4h。线性结局无分支。无配音。 个人风格非常强烈，而且在视觉小说的艺术表达上，也有自己的想法：去除文字框，巧妙而自然地将文字融入于背景之中，文字也像一行行优美的诗；人物也因此变得更加自由，不只是单单站在两旁。可以说，每一次点击，都是一张CG。很多构图搭配上文字有一种无言的美感，就好像它们就该如此搭配。这真的只有在作者的审美与实力相当的时候，才能创作出来的。此外，压抑而灰暗的氛围让我不由自主地想起了Z.A.T.O.，它们毫无疑问都是优秀的视觉小说，并且也同样存在意识流和艺术化的表达（如P1，P2），这点我是很喜欢的。两位女孩之间的爱表现得很热烈，但是在心里流转的那种烈。爱之于她们而言，更像是一场灵魂的交融，最终达达到不分彼此，纵使对方变成树也好，鱼也好，熊也罢，只要记忆还在，灵魂还在，她们依旧会相爱。 这么优秀的作品竟然是免费的！我大概忘不了了吧，今年最惊艳我的百合视觉小说。

observations, assumptions, conclusions.... but never forget its a cycle... that feels like what life ends up being all about... sooner or later you come back down tho... to reality, to only being tied and connected to people who you think the rest of the world would be better without, not malice just indifference (no wait definitely a bit of malice, oh or maybe contempt) ... we're all the same but we could not be more different... you can hand wave or preach away only so much circumstance...

A beautiful, poetically written, artisically presented, slow-burn sapphic romance with an accurate amount of existential dread.

Stunning presentation paired with an atmospheric soundtrack and great writing make this a wonderful, short (2-4 hour) Visual Novel!
