Serious Scramblers is developed by solo developer Chinykian, who is 1/3 of Rottenmage, the team behind Spacejacked. Like Spacejacked, Serious Scramblers requires quick thinking and even quicker reflex in order to master the game. All the player has to do is to move left or right to navigate through what seems to be a bottomless pit of a hole while collecting coins, landing on enemies and maintaining the right speed to avoid falling off the bottom of the screen or be impaled at the top for doing it too slowly.
Gameplay
+ Simple controls as only pressing "right" or "left" is required. + Simply move left or right to land on platforms/enemies or to avoid traps. + Levels get progressively harder and has a good challenging curve. - If you aren't particularly quick in terms of thinking and reflexes (like me), this can be of a challenge. + Has a number of characters with different stats to unlock with the coins you collect which provides you the right fit for your play style.
Graphics
+ Clean and fluid pixel art that is easy to distinguish what is what.
Music/Audio
+ Apart from the gameplay, the music and audio is a highlight. + Music blends in well and suits with the fast gameplay.
Everything else
+ Endless mode is available for players who seek a bigger challenge by going against other top players in the rankings. + Works well with a PS4 and Logitech Dual Action controller without any third party programme. + Available on iOS for iPhone users. +/- This isn't a review for the full game but only up till level 16 (I can't beat level 16 for nuts). Serious Scramblers in the end is a polished game that is very accessible for both casual and competitive players as it is simple to learn but a challenge to master. Serious Scramblers is a joy to be experience for those who are looking for quick bursts of challenging gameplay that will either make you feel like a God after a short session. Or like a silly person after trying to beat your own high score for hours. At the price point of $2.15 (SGD) or your region equivalent, it is not hard to recommend Serious Scramblers as you can have plenty of sessions of joy and salt in the endless mode. Genre: -Retro Arcade Platformer Fit for me: -It's a genre I've been wanting to play more of, so decent fit Pros: -Its dirt cheap at $2 -The visuals and art design are solid for a $2 game -The movement, jumping, and bouncing off of enemies mechanics all feel really good -Really good difficulty curve w/ a steep incline in challenges late game -Lots of unlockable characters gives plenty of incentive to keep playing -Endless Mode w/ an online leaderboard worked nicely w/ the game -Random generation was a really smart way to keep everything fresh and add variety to every run -Getting big combos by landing on consecutive enemies is really fun Cons: -The soundtrack and sound effects can be quite grating -The main game can be beaten in under 2 hrs for most players -Extremely limited platformer in that all you can do is move left or right or bounce off of enemies -Really easy levels make up a majority of the main game -Lack of enemy and platforming variety Thoughts: -I'm happy w/ my purchase. This is a fun game that I'm happy to recommend to anyone that enjoys arcade platformers. The devs knew what they wanted, and made a consistent, engaging, old school game. I like the way Serious Scramblers handles, and enjoyed being able to try out different characters w/ unique perks on levels. I'm not sure how much I'll play it in the future, but having fun for 2 hrs is well worth $2 if you ask me. Consensus: -Middle of the Road Game (Tier 4 and makes up 25% of my reviews). This is a fun little gem that is easy for anyone to enjoy. It's on sale for $1 right now, so go ahead and pick it up!
After 12.8 hours, I have achieved %100, but my eyes hurt. As well as my right and left arrow keys...
Boring mobile game.
Awesome Minigame. Perfect if you have to kill the time between bigger games. And a bit addicting, because you always tell yourself "just one more level".
Fun game! Its hard but a really good time killer as well. get this game, you probably won't regret it

This game is so simple, yet so addicting!
Video of my first thoughts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_82ybeqQLRM Game is very fun, lot of characters and levels to play. Fluid movement and fast arcade nature. Will be coming back to play more for sure and give it a positive review. Very much worth the small price tag.
