So yeah Its free, and yeah it looks nice, but the pistol and the overwhelming amount of enemies that take like 6+ shots, make it unplayable. On the full version I see people saying how good the guns are, we I guess they have changed the guns in the free version. There is even a slight delay between pressing the trigger and the gun shooting!?! It runs smooth on max graphics, but good graphics alone does not make a good game. So glad I never bought the original! Very poor, and very dissapointing
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
There's about 25-30 minutes of gameplay here on singleplayer. I would imagine MP would be the same, although I did not get to test that. It's a solid mission. The location looks creepy as you're in the dangerous alien world. The pumpkin heads though seem out of place (even for Halloween). There's even this background music that sounds a lot like the Halloween (Michael Myers) theme song. You get different guns along the way, I couldn't get one of them to work though. The odd thing about the game is that you can shoot some things but not others. And some just seem to take damage but don't actually die. Others won't attack you even though you can kill them. This may be a beautiful game, but it looked very muddy (on medium settings) on my rig. Performance was acceptable on medium although I did notice some stutter. The game started on low settings by default and it looked terrible. I also changed settings to full, faster locomotion with smooth turning and full FOV. This isn't a bad game. The level was fun. But the graphics problem would make me not to want to spend $30-40 for the full title. It wasn't as polished as I would expect a AAA title to be. Rate 6/10. Not bad for free. Huge download, but worth the ~ 30 minutes of playtime.

Not worth your time even for a free game, Voice acting is trash, the level you get to play mostly just consists of running from A to B with some extremely spongey enemies in the way. The level is concluded with an extremely boring and spongey boss fight. It came down to me and my friend just sitting down and shooting at it for 10 minutes as its attacked glitched out and kept hitting the same spot. Multiplayer sucked, instead of adjusting the player model to a different size they just float abit higher. I can't believe they want 40$ for this trash.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is awful
Very blurry on medium graphics quality. my rig couldnt handle high without stuttering a lot (gtx970) but even that wasnt great. and the starting weapon you get is a joke. I immediately died as soon as i got swarmed by multiple aliens that take 8+ pistol shots top kill each, from the slowest firing pistol ive ever seen.
Nice visuals, but it seems like 15 year olds wrote it. That, and within 1 minute of action, I was being spam-attacked by 4 spiders and died.
Seeking Dawn: Free to Play Edition 10 из 10
Juste non, ça c'est pas un free to play mais une démo de 20 minutes avec un gameplay mou au possible, inutile de récréer une page steam pour une DEMO ..
TLDR: If the point of this version was to get me to buy the full product, it just didn't do it for me. Nice grahics but there is nothing new that I haven't seen before in terms of mechanics. Although the enemies and environments show the team's effort, the game doesn't fine-tune its wave shooter mechanics, and balances between the gameplay, player-centric systems (i.e., inventory, weapons), and story don't mesh well. I get that this was a speacially made free-to-play version, but if the point of this version was to get me to buy the full product, it fell short, It didn't live up to the expectations that it set for its players.
