About
Seedborne Soldiers is an auto battler roguelike presented in the sweet, nostalgic style of a low-polygon 90s game.
Draft a team from a pool of 75 (!) characters pulled from across the cosmos, and fight to escape dangerous Dreamworld.
Mix and match from a huge selection of Traits, Trinkets, and upgradeable Equipment to capitalize on powerful synergies and overcome unique enemies and bosses.
Each round, choose a fight based on its difficulty and rewards. You can survive a few losses, but too many mean game over. Should you chase the loot to build your dream team, or just try to survive?
Field units with matching traits to power up your team
Collect 3 copies of a unit to combine them into a level 2 (9 total copies make a level 3)
Draft 5 tiers of units; higher tiers are more powerful but rarer and costlier
Upgrade equipment and collect trinkets to maximize your team’s potential
Conquer 3 Maps filled with 30+ enemies (plus a variety of non-combat encounters), each capped by a deadly boss

Peek at the Traits of upcoming units, collect items which help find matches, and utilize the Harvest system at Shelters to shore up your team. The map system is designed to give you agency to pursue your build without sacrificing those glorious highroll moments.
Double-casting Sages, loot-loving Nobles, or item-wary Ascetics… Dreamworld is your oyster!

The best time to exploit imbalanced strategies is around release. I've won a few runs during playtest & enjoyed figuring out weird combos... including an infinitely scaling Phaisy (which might be nerfed. whoops.) I started playing Dota Auto Chess in 2019 & tried many others since. This is a neat roguelike take on the genre with some clear StS influences. The baseline game is easy enough that you might win on your first try but hard enough that it's not a guarantee. The game is a decent price on release, good for 10+ hours of gameplay. A run takes 1-2 hours & just trying "every strategy once" will take a couple dozen runs. The developers are receptive to feedback & will probably add an ascension-style difficulty system at some point. If you've played autobattlers & roguelikes then you'll probably like this -- but try the Demo (or wishlist) if you're on the fence. There's a good life ahead of this game & I bet we'll see some fun updates in the future.
Fun auto battler with quite deep strategy.
😈👍
I am brand new to the auto-battler genre, but this game does a great job of teaching beginners the mechanics. The tooltips are very handy. I like the calm atmosphere and music. I understand some of the assets are temporary, and I look forward to seeing this develop further.
Sadly, this game mistakes ultra sponge/ungodly healing as the only difficulty. Unless you know every single unit, what does it do and how it can work from memory you just WILL NOT have a good time, you just wont, Getting units is completely unintuitive and limited, which, in autobattlers is THE CORE of the experience, rolling, getting those lucky rolls, none of that here, its limits on limits on limits on limits, expecting you to enjoy the drip feed like some masochist.
really enjoy this game! keep up the good work :) would like some things you could upgrade after runs
Zilch is an icon, she's a legend, and she IS the moment.
i love the game is wish the dev can expand more the game with and endless mode and some tweaks
There are so many combinations with the units and items, the variety is great. I am trying to develop a strategy that survives the third map. Plenty of replay value. My runs last about an hour each time (unless I do something reckless and die early). I recommend this for players that enjoy rogue style randomness.
Great game!
